“We needed to get off the highway fast when we ran over a nail and the tire was dropping pressure fast. We called Pur and they helped us out, directing us to the air pump and then to the nearby shop. We were so grateful for their help!”
“I don't get fuel here (a bit high price for me) but they have tons of pumps and the market inside is pretty stocked. I mainly use this location for the DD, which is a great location. All the staff is great, but the morning team is on fire :)”
“I have been coming here for about 2 years. New owners are very rude. I only come because they stayed with the same personnel. The kitchen staff is awesome. The younger girl in the kitchen is great. You will see her everywhere. Kitchen. Cashier. Cleaning. Restocking. And she's always in a good mood.”
“I'm only giving it a 1 star because I can't give it 0 stars. But I pumped gas and pressed the button for regular gas. By the time I finished pumping and saw the $65 price for my small fort escape, I realized something was wrong. I printed receipt and it showed I paid for ultra gas at $4.84/ gallon. I've never had this happen to me before. I went inside and the people behind the counter were like "did the hose press the button?" I mean, yea I guess it's possible, but what do I do about the ultra gas prices in my car? Nothing apparently.. I already paid for it so they could care less, pretty much what they told me. Employees need some empathy training. Very disappointed. edited to add on 4/29/22 I was called by someone in corporat (maybe) and he spoke with me in length and made inquiry to the store, checked pumps, and came to the conclusion to issue me a partial refund which I can pick up in store in a few days. This made me extremely happy, as I felt someone took the time to listen to me. So I upped my stars to a 4.”
“The owner of this marathon is such a great man. I can always count on this store for all of my juul pods. They have a great selection of flavors and the prices are very reasonable. Also a great selection of stigs in many flavors and you can buy them individual.”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
Love's Travel Stops is starting 2025 with ambitious growth plans, adding 20 new stores and updating 50 current locations across the country. The truck stop company will upgrade its stores through its Strategic Remodel Initiative, which started in 2022. This includes the modernization of its recently acquired turnpike location in Stroud, Oklahoma. By 2035, over half of Love's 655 stores will be either new or updated.
Texas-born Buc-ee's is changing the way people think about gas stations and convenience stores. This chain is known for its huge stores along highways, some with over 100 fuel pumps. With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.
Sheetz Inc., the Pennsylvania-based convenience store chain, is making big moves in the Motor City. The company announced plans to open four more locations across metro Detroit, weeks before opening its first Michigan location. The first Michigan Sheetz will open its doors in late summer at 33380 Wick Road in Romulus. More locations are planned for Taylor, Warren, and Macomb Township, each employing around 30 people, mostly full-time.
Love's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
