“This place is a Godsend for so many. They serve a delicious, great variety of lunches daily from Monday through Friday. Their chef really knows how to cook! Open around 9am, they serve coffee and donuts in the mornings. They have PB&J options for the non meat eaters. They send you home with extra food too. Tuesdays they give out clothes and shoes if you're in need. If you need something like a hygiene kit, rain poncho, or an item of clothing for an emergency and it's not a Tuesday, they can usually arrange it if you approach one of the workers on the side. The stuff is primo...unused, quality, good labels, etc. It's a nice place to go if you're down on your luck, or even if you're not, for food and fellowship. The free red bus goes there from the bus terminal in Pompano.
Around Christmas time they give everyone a backpack filled with goodies. The vibe here is really good and coming here daily really helped see me through during a dark time in my life.
Miss Katie and her husband and their team are definitely doing God's work through this place.

The spiritual services are amazing and conducted by a very serious group of individuals that really care for your! Love this place!!??”

“My husband George Taylor and I have been visiting American Legion Post 142 for a few months now. It is a Beautiful Atmosphere, Warm, Friendly, Respectful, Welcoming, Social Quarters. Meeting the Most Decorated Veterans. Meeting new Friends. The Food is Outstanding, Along with all their Cooks and Volunteers, their Waitresses, Bartenders.. The Entertainment is Superb, The Various Games and Events are exciting and Lots of Fun. There is Always Beautiful Patriotic Events happening. The American Legion Post 142 is a HEARTFELT PATRIOTIC ESTABLISHMENT.”

“My daughter is currently in this facility due to a severe code blue at 2 months old, she is now 7 thriving and stable and I owe a huge amount of it to this facility. As a victim of medical negligence that led her to be in the condition she is even in to have to be housed in a skilled facility for handicapped children, I have to say, I have never been able to trust a facility quite like this one. Anytime I have concerns of any sorts they are pretty much there to listen and walk me through them and they really do love my daughter. I am beyond grateful for this village/ team of nurses, angels that have been blessed to be apart of our journey....”
