“We just had an excellent experience using Auto Tech Garage from start to finish. We highly recommend them. Our regular mechanic referred us when the on going problem with my car was difficult to diagnosis. We made an appointment, had the car towed in and hoped they could figure it out. Anthony is the man! He found the problem and fixed it. My car is running great. The total cost was even less then the estimate because in the final analysis, one of the parts was not needed. If you want an honest, reliable mechanic at a very fair price, this is the place you can trust. Linda in the office is very nice and efficient. No waiting. “This place is great!! I was recommended by a friend and have been here only twice so far as my car was under warranty until recently. I went in today because the plastic cover under my car fell down. I was sure I cracked it, as I had to drive a long way dragging it, and would need to pay significant money to replace it. But John was able to work me in AND fix the cover. BEST of all he did it at NO charge! They have as a customer for life now and I would recommend them to anyone!!”
“While driving from Sarasota to Tampa International Airport on a Saturday morning, a safety warning suddenly appeared on the car indicating a possible loose lug nut on the right front wheel. I had also felt some vibration, so I took the warning seriously and got off at the next exit.
Fortunately, we found Rubber City Tire & Auto Repair on 34th Street South in St. Petersburg.
Even though there were several customers in the waiting area, within three or four minutes I was asked how they could help. I explained that we were just passing through and asked if they could check the torque on the lug nuts and make sure we were safe to continue our trip.
Eric, whose family has apparently operated the business for many years, took care of us. He checked and verified that all of the lug nuts were properly torqued and that the tire pressures were within range. That alone gave me considerable peace of mind.
Eric spent probably 30 minutes with us, and when everything was finished, he told me there was no charge. I tipped him, of course, but I was genuinely impressed by the way we were treated.
It’s great to find fast, caring service from a local business, especially when you’re traveling and have a potentially serious concern with a vehicle. Based on my experience with Eric and Rubber City Tire & Auto Repair, I would highly recommend them.”
