Bookstore1 is an excellent independent bookstore in the heart of downtown Sarasota. It is a wonderfully curated, old-fashioned bookstore with a great selection of literature, fiction, nonfiction, and kid books. The staff are friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. The store holds frequent author events, poetry readings, book clubs, and community talks. It also offers beautiful stationery, cards, and gifts. The atmosphere is a pure delight—quiet, clean, and full of that amazing smell of books. It is a great place to browse, enjoy, and support local.

It's so rare to see an old-fashioned books store nowadays in our digital world.Going in was a pure delightBeautiful stationary as well.I could easily spend a whole day there.
