This independent bookstore is well-stocked and well-loved by the local community. A staff member is always available, and likely if you're reading this, more familiar with where a particular genre can be found than you are.An upstairs loft provides space for various events. My favorite at the moment is the regular meeting of the Banned Books book club.

A small, niche bookstore tucked away in downtown Sarasota. They have a good selection, albeit minimal in volume. The staff is knowledgeable but the few times I have been seem indifferent to their customers.

Friendly service that is knowledgeable and quick to check you out! The selection is good and they can order anything g for you. They have a bunch of fun nonfiction, fiction and kid books. They also have cards and kids gifts. Parking is on the street and in a main plaza downtown. It's quiet clean and a great place to check out!

What an awesome little bookstore! Walk in and you are immediately embraced by that oh so amazing smell of curiosity, amazement and knowledge that you can only find in a book. The staff are kind. There is no pressure here. Come, browse, enjoy then support local and buy a book!!!❤️

We drove an hour today for the Monster Tea Party event, advertised as 11-2pm. We arrived at 1pm. We didn’t see anything going on so we stood near the front door, waiting for the lady at the register to acknowledge us. Eventually we spoke first and asked if the Monster Tea Party was here. She replies, “Are you talking to me? Because I’m doing something. That event was at 11am.” She pointed to a stack and said, “you can buy the book.” We were shocked at how rude she was. The sign right up from said from 11am-2pm and she had zero regard for our excited kids in tow. If they ended it early, the least she could do is say hello and be nice.

Very friendly staff when we were in the store shopping, interesting selection. My one complaint is that we asked them to ship our books to us and some arrived damaged. When I called to let them know, the guy who answered the phone didn't apologize. He just said "ok" in a flat monotone as though he couldnt care less. It was annoying and dissatisfying.

Wandered around here after grabbing coffee at Breaking Wave. I left with two books, which is a success in my book!

I was interested in exploring the current banned books. Found this store has a banned-book club. Attended my first meeting and thoroughly enjoyed the leader, a young woman and other participants my age. What a lively diverse group discussing the book (Milk and Honey) and appropriateness for students! Next month we read Huckleberry Finn, yes Huck Finn is banned in some places!
