“Yesterday was one of the hardest days of our lives — we had to say goodbye to our beloved Yoshi, who had been with us for 16 wonderful years. I had made an appointment at Banfield Pet Hospital, where we had been loyal clients for all those years. But the night before, Yoshi was in so much pain that none of us could sleep. His cries were unlike anything we had ever heard from him — heartbreaking, gut-wrenching sounds that tore us apart. When I called Banfield that morning, they could hear him crying in the background, yet still told me they could not see him any earlier than his scheduled appointment at 2:30 p.m.
We couldn’t let him suffer any longer. In desperation, I called Palmer Ranch Animal Clinic, where I had taken Yoshi once before. Even though they were so busy, they immediately told us to bring him in so he wouldn’t have to endure any more pain. That alone was a blessing we will never forget.
From the moment we arrived, every single person treated us with the deepest compassion, empathy, and respect. They gave us time, space, and comfort through the most devastating goodbye, and they never once made us feel rushed. Their kindness, their gentle way of guiding us, and, yes, their generosity in not charging us for the euthanasia — all of it together left us beyond words. They showed us that they truly care not only for animals, but also for the families who love them.
After Yoshi passed, I called Banfield to cancel his wellness plan. To our shock, they told us he still had four months left in the plan and that, “out of courtesy,” they would only continue charging us until October. At that moment, the difference between these two places could not have been clearer: one saw us as a number, the other treated us like family.
From yesterday forward, Palmer Ranch Animal Clinic has gained two loyal customers, because we still have another dog, Jazz, who deserves the same kind of care and compassion. To anyone reading this review: this is the only place you should take your animals. They are completely and utterly out of this world — kind, loving, and truly dedicated to both pets and their families.

“I contacted this place due to a new sore found on our dogs leg and due to a cancelation they got us in that day. The front desk lady was awesome and very friendly! They took us back quickly, and the doctor came right into the room as soon as we got in there. The exam fee was great. The lowest I've seen in a while! The only reason we won't be back is because they do not take care credit. We do not have insurance for our animals because we use care credit. I really wish they did because this would have been our new vet home!!!”

“I can't say enough nice things about this practice. Dr. Brown and Dr. Browning are extremely knowledgeable, skilled, caring and compassionate. The techs and receptionists are equally attentive and kind. I have a senior dog that has suffered with a number of ailments. He has had eye issues, a back issue, dental issues, a heart murmer, digestive upset and a poisoning episode. The office offers emergency work-in appointments that are invaluable. I never feel rushed. The fees are comparable. I especially appreciate the holistic slant. My dog isn't the most cooperative, but the entire staff makes effort to make him feel comfortable. Lorrie was very pleasant and helpful to get me connected and schedule a next day appointment. Jorge was very thorough taking my dog’s medical history and clearly communicated next steps.
