“I go to this place on a regular basis, the service always good and the price is fair. My last experience wasn't that great, the price wasn't exaggerated but above my budget and told the guy that I wouldn't be able to do it at this time and he said something negative about me in Spanish thinking because I am black I won't understand what he says. I think it is rude and unprofessiinal.”

“I had problems finding any used F150 6 lug wheels for a 20” tire to replace my 18”spare which is like a donut for my F150.
Anyways Nas not only had the same wheel as my truck but he offered a very fair price.
They also quickly dropped my 18” spare and replaced my tire on the spare tire chain and cranked it up.
Incredibly fair pricing and fast work for a very small job. I’m lucky I found them. Good people, positive vibes, a sign of a good owner ( Nas) as well.”

He changed my spark plugs and did my oil change. And was honest about the minor repair my AC needed. It’s been over 2 weeks and my AC is still blowing nice and cold. I have found my new mechanic for all my auto needs.”

“They rebuilt my rear-ended 2002 Pontiac Firehawk. This is after 3 other shops said they would fix it but then backed out and failed their commitment with me. I should of come here first because of the wonderful job they did and I'm glad the other 3 shops failed. The parts were difficult to come by since there were no new OEM body parts available. Baystreet Paint and Body will be my first choice for all my future auto work.

“Smitty and crew do amazing work, for a great price. Had my new engine delivered on a Wednesday and had my car back to me that Friday. Insanely fast for a major job like that.
I spoke with Smitty for a good 20 or so minutes while picking it up, and I immediately could tell this wasn’t just a business to him, but a passion.
Over 50 years of experience alone, he knows how to hire, and Happy and team are all incredible. These guys set the standard for a mechanic shop, and then immediately exceed it.
He is also very well connected in the mechanic scene and knows how to get you quality parts and do quality work for a genuinely surprisingly reasonable price.
The wall of his office is covered in certificates that he and his team have earned, and he’s active on the floor making sure his guys learn to an expert level like he did himself.
Cannot recommend them enough, they saved my vehicle, got me an engine with 30k less miles than the one they initially found and kept the price the same, and did the whole job in a couple days all while working on a whole fleet of cars.
All the work is warrantied for a year, and you most likely will not need that warranty as of the 6 or so jobs he’s done between me and my roommate, there have been zero issues since.
I wouldn’t have written the book of a review if I didn’t have so many good things to say, and I could keep going. Never before have I had such trust and good communication with a mechanic. Straight to the point, honest, and don’t hit you with a list of additional things that “need replacing” like we’ve all experienced a time or two before.
To close, shop around all you’d like, that’s never a bad thing to do, but I have a good feeling you’ll end up at Smittys not only for the price, but the confidence in knowing things will be done right.”

“I came on here to make a review and started reading all the other reviews... what can I add!?! In my 55yrs+ of taking my auto in to get fixed this place is the tops!
We were headed across the state for the wknd pulling the RV, taking the back way and my vehicle started acting up, so we just decided to limp on back home. Going through Umatilla we saw Action Auto and decided to take a chance. When he diagnosed the problem he said it would be 4days before he could do it being he was flooded with repairs - and he was from what I saw. I looked at my wife and said let's try to make it back home.. at that time he (I assume the owner) said let's see if I can find the part, he did, and said 'as soon as a machanic gets free he would fix it, and for us to go get some lunch'. So, before we could walk across the street and eat he calls and said it was fixed!! Unbeknownst to him I was looking as it was being fixed, it wasn't one of his mechanics getting their hands dirty.. it was him.. the owner! I almost cried. Who does that anymore, such compassion to his job to help out a total stranger in need, going above and beyond!
It's been weeks now since the repair and my auto hasn't missed a beat, I drive securely now pulling our RV!
