Carriage Way Inn Bed & Breakfast is a fantastic and wonderful place to stay in St. Augustine, often described as a favorite. It is a charming, very pretty, cozy, and comfortable bed and breakfast located in the heart of the historic Old Town district, with an absolutely amazing location. The area is fantastic, a short walk to everything, meaning guests can walk anywhere in old town within minutes with no need to drive, and the inn offers on-site parking. The accommodations are top notch, with each room having its own luxury and comfort, though some rooms are on the smaller side. Guests praise the excellent breakfast, which comes fast and is really good. The hospitality is phenomenal, with hosts described as extremely kind, sweet, and wonderful, going above and beyond to make stays special. This outstanding service is frequently noted as the most special thing, making guests feel the hospitality alone was worth every dime. While experiences are overwhelmingly positive, some minor downsides are noted. These can include a very creaky bed, a small television, a large number of throw pillows, and the provided shampoo and conditioner not being to all tastes. There are no full-length mirrors. On rare occasions, an issue like a broken air conditioner may occur, but management handles situations graciously. The inn is highly recommended as the best bed and breakfast in the entire St. Augustine area, perfect for a romantic getaway.
