About Budget Car Rental
Budget Car Rental offers a range of experiences for customers. Some customers appreciated the friendly and attentive service provided by staff members like Zdravko, who helped find the best rental options, and a manager who stayed late to assist with a delayed flight, ensuring customers reached their hotel on time. The online booking process was smooth, with decent deals, and the pickup at Tampa was quick despite early arrival, with upgrades offered when preferred vehicles were unavailable. Returning the car in Tampa was also efficient, with deposits refunded promptly.
However, experiences varied. One customer faced a long wait of about 45 minutes due to a storm but appreciated the company's flexibility in extending the return time. Concerns about cleanliness were raised, with pet hair leading to a cleaning fee that some felt was excessive. Service issues also emerged; a negative encounter with a staff member named Maria involved rude behavior and poor communication, causing frustration and inconvenience, including the need to arrange alternative transportation.
Additional complaints included damage to rented vehicles, with dents and dings not properly documented, and delays in refunds, such as the fuel credit that took nearly a month to be processed. Despite these challenges, some customers were able to resolve issues through customer service, which improved their overall experience. Overall, Budget Car Rental provides decent service with moments of helpfulness, but customer experiences can vary significantly depending on staff interactions and vehicle conditions.
