“Nice hotel, polite staff. Sheets did not fit bed so were coming off mattress during the night. They were also very stiff not soft at all. Also housekeeping was knocking on our door before 8:30am. After getting in late due to flight cancelations we found this most annoying. Would be nice if they added some small items back to the bath, we had 1 bar of soap and a very small hand cream. Just saying!
The $6 bottled water and $5 chips were a little steep. Would probably not pick this particular Marriott!”

“Couldn’t be more happy with this hotel. We have stayed at places much more experience with very average experience. This was a very nice surprise. We paid a very affordable rate for two nights with two kids and had a suite which was really clean and roomy with a kitchenette and a pull out sofa with two queen beds. Very clean with little shoe polish package and single use comb even. Night light was a nice little detail for the kids going to the bathroom at night. The staff very very polite on arrival and it was convenient location. We definitely boom here again if we are in town. Lovely experience.”

“good place just make sure to call ahead if you have a pet because they do not honor ESA letters even if you paid a private doctor or received it from the VA hospital. Pet rooms fill up quickly.

“My wife & I had a great stay, no issues at all. The front desk, Michael was very helpful with any information that we needed. Also, Miguel was extremely helpful & full of information about the history of Ybor City. He took us to a park that is one block away from the hotel which celebrates the life of a Cuban patriot Jose Martí, being Cuban myself I appreciate the park & it’s history immensely. Miguel is a great asset to this hotel.

“We stayed at Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown from December 28th to 30th and had an excellent experience from start to finish.

The room was spotless and very well maintained. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. A special shout-out to the valet team as well, super efficient, friendly, and made parking completely stress-free.

The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and all public areas were exceptionally clean. The location is perfect, close to everything downtown, making it easy to walk or quickly get to restaurants, attractions, and waterfront spots.

Overall, a fantastic stay. Thank you to the entire team. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.”

“I only stayed one night gor the BTS concert on the 28th and I had such a nice experience, the rooms are very clean, comfy, the shower and bathroom were also very clean and nice, there was a microwave and miniifridge and they also sell snacks, instant noodles and drinks!. Very affordable, excellent location, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. The only unfortunate thing that happened to me was that the elevator was out of service so we had to use the stairs which was rough after a concert. But it is definitely not a deal breaker and I will definitely go back for my future concerts and trips! Bts and I will be back?”

“Since the hotel is in a commercial industrial area it's very quiet. The rooms are big with a kitchen for staying a few days. Outdoor pool and grill area on backside of the building.”

“This hotel was very nice at a great price. The pool area is a little outdated with not many chairs but we stayed during the winter time. The lobby always had free fresh ground coffee in the morning. This hotel is very close to the amusement park. We stayed here for a concert at the arena, the drive to the arena was a little long due to traffic.”

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and valued. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing.

One of the highlights of my mornings was breakfast, especially thanks to the breakfast attendant, Bascom. He went above and beyond to make guests smile and feel appreciated. It was so sweet and thoughtful of him to hand out little smiley face key chains just to brighten everyone’s day. Small gestures like that truly make a lasting impression and show how much he cares about the guests’ experience.

Excellent customer service, great hospitality, and positive energy all around. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay!”

“Rooms were clean, comfortable and updated well! Only complaint would be the valet/parking fees. Put that seems par for the course these days for a revenue enhancement reach. Convenient to the airport and all access to downtown or wherever you might in town for. Pricing was reasonable and it is a full service, well appointed hotel. Would definitely consider returning for a future stay.”

“Our youth hockey team had a really nice stay at the hotel the week of Thanksgiving. The big hits with the group were the location, the free breakfast, the free happy hour, the pool, the service, and the spacious rooms.

There is no better location in downtown Tampa. The trolley stop is literally right out the front door. Thunder Alley/Lightning arena is adjacent. The Riverwalk, restaurants, bars, Harbour Island, and Publix are all just steps away.

Everyone raved about the breakfast and having to be down there by 9:30am was good motivation to get up and start the day. The MTO omelettes were delicious and the chefs were so friendly. They also had a waffle station, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, soda….really just about anything you could want.

The free happy hour was from 5-6:30 every day and our group took full advantage enjoying beer, wine, bourbon, and a variety of other house offerings. You can pay a little extra for top shelf.

Service was good from arranging the group booking to check in, to customer satisfaction inquiry texts during our stay, to getting an Amazon delivery to the front desk, to bar tenders, etc. The only service improvement would have been to receive a room refresh or two during our 3 night stay. We were always able to find a housekeeper nearby to replenish clean towels, though:)

The room was spacious and comfortable. Ours had 2 queen beds, sleeper sofa, wet bar with microwave and oversized mini fridge, chair, dining set for four, 2 TVs, ample drawer and closet space, and a safe. Everything was clean.

The reason for 4 stars vs 5 is the condition of the mattress in the sleeper sofa. That thing felt like a pile of coils. I requested and quickly received an extra mattress cover and comforter that we put under the sheets and that helped quite a bit. The second reason for the star deduction was one elevator was out of service for the duration of our stay. The third reason was that we were originally on the top floor which was under some sort of remediation. There were tarps trying to hide it but there were big holes in the ceiling and signs of water damage. The AC did not appear to be working in the hallways up there. My family went to our room but quickly decided that with our high sensitivity to mold and mildew that we best move away from any area with possible water damage. I called down and was immediately assigned another room and met at that room by an employee of the hotel who swapped keys with me…saving us a trip back to the lobby.

Overall, this is a wonderful hotel with many amenities and very friendly, professional, and helpful employees. I 100% recommend it and would book here again without hesitation! And thanks for the yummy cake slice!!”

“I had a great experience at this hotel. Close to the highway and many food establishments. The A/C worked great and got super cold. Everything in our room was clean!!!! That is super important to me. The bed was comfortable and firmish although the pillows were a little flat, I guess i could’ve asked for more. Parking included unlike other hotels that make you pay for it instead of realizing it should belong with the room rate. Even the continental breakfast was good - the usual, but still good. There was a variety and even a machine that makes your pancakes on a conveyor belt! lol”

“I recently stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Tampa Westshore Airport and overall had a really great experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how clean and well-maintained the entire property was. The lobby had a fresh, welcoming feel — no musty odors, no scuffs on the walls, just a genuinely clean and modern space.

The room itself was spotless. The floors were clean, the bathroom was sparkling, and the bedding was crisp and fresh. I checked behind the headboard and under the bed — details that matter to me — and everything was in great shape. The kitchen area was also well-stocked and clean, which was a nice bonus for an extended-stay style room. It was clear that housekeeping takes real pride in their work here.

The staff was another highlight. Everyone I interacted with — from the front desk agents at check-in to the folks managing the breakfast area — was genuinely friendly and helpful. They greeted me with a smile and were quick to answer questions. When I needed extra towels, they were brought up promptly and without any attitude. It is the kind of attentive service that makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just a room number.

The breakfast selection was solid — a good variety of hot and cold options, and the area was kept tidy throughout the morning. The fitness center was also clean and had everything I needed for a quick workout.

Location-wise, being close to the airport is incredibly convenient for early flights, and the area has plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, this is a hotel I would confidently return to and recommend to anyone traveling through Tampa.”

“on a very special day in my life I received a gift for 2 nights at this spectacular hotel. I felt like a queen. Fluffy pillows galore in a pristeen room with a generous hearted staff in every component of service. Stem to stern one might say. The front desk staff greet you and provide helpful and focused attention . The staff at the hotel restaurant are beyond personable - fully attentive,joyful ,caring and knowledgeable with helpful suggestions.The Menu has a full array that covers all needs and preferences. The housekeeping and maintenance staff continued this culture of caring and connection. A gentle ready-to-please presence never reacted as though I was a bother.WOW. I plan to return”

“It was a good stay but please do something about the beeping in the elevators. The noise is very annoying. Being on the top floor for 4 days and going back and forth, it’s a bit loud. The parking fee could be cheaper but it’s Tampa, I get it. The food in the restaurant was decent for having to eat there for one day. The male bartender very nice and efficient. Would stay again.”

“Stayed here recently and had a good experience overall. The room had plenty of space, and the property has an older historic feel that makes it stand out from more standard hotels. The shuttle was convenient, especially for getting around without hassle. Service was friendly, and the place was generally clean and comfortable. A couple small things could be improved, like stronger water pressure and faster elevators, but nothing that ruined the stay.”
