Thrifty Car Rental - Tampa International Airport

Car Rental
Hours: Thrifty Car Rental at Tampa International Airport offers a range of affordably awesome rental cars, with opportunities to save, such as a 10% discount for prepaying. Customers can also book using a debit card. Experiences at this location vary significantly. Many customers report good, fast, and pleasant experiences, describing the service as kind, helpful, fantastic, and world-class. Specific staff members are frequently praised for being outstanding, providing exceptional service, and handling issues with care, diligence, and efficiency, which has restored faith in the company for some. The drop-off process is often noted as pain-free, easy, and impeccable, even when dealing with incidents. The cars themselves are typically described as nice and new. However, other reviews highlight problems, including very long wait times, instances of rude service, and vehicles not being available as reserved. One customer detailed a shocking billing error where the system automatically applied a much higher weekly rate instead of a daily rate, causing massive shock and stress. This situation was ultimately resolved by exceptionally dedicated and fair staff who worked diligently to correct the mistake, turning a negative experience into a positive one and retaining the customer. While core service can be exceptional, consistency appears to be an issue, with the quality of the experience heavily dependent on the individual staff members encountered.
