“Still one of my favorite show stores to this day! I always stop by when I'm in town. I have a pair of genuine leather flats I got nearly 10 years ago that have still held up over the years. It's one of the few shoe stores that carries QUALITY shoes!”

“After going to top name shoe stores in Sarasota and displeased with the lack of service or assistance while sales teams stood around talking to each other, I went to the three in Venice. Gulf Soles was the worst of all. The female “owner “ never even looked up from her phone much less greeted me, I asked, after standing looking at her fir five minutes, for owner as he had great reviews she said she is and her husband Mike but he worked in Englewood. She was rude and no assistance. The third I went to was B & B Bootery, what a breath of fresh air!!! If you want old time service with a smile and has the knowledge also then skip all the other stores!!! While I couldn’t find the exact need, the sales lady went over and found a pair of shoes she thought I may like, I had seen them previously and loved them but unfortunately did not have my size. But her expertise knew exactly what I was looking for. Kudos to this shop, they know how to run a business!! I will be back!!”

“Please note, the store I visited is in Englewood. We went specifically looking for Oofas sandles, which we found and purchased. The only thing you must not do is wear them on wet grass, in bare feet, especially if the grass is uneven. Slipping within the sandle when wet is too easy. They become very slippery. Just do not do it. I wear mine daily mostly indoors, as my feet hurt walking on hard surfaces. I have since bought orthotics for my shoes to help with that. I love my Oofas, and highly recommend them. If you are in Englewoid on Thursdays, you can also stop at the farmers market, as they are within easy easy walking distance of each other. The fish guy on the eastern side of the road has lovely frozen product.”

“Fifis is a great local consignment shop best, in my opinion, for women in the 50-70s age range. If you are younger, look for purses, shoes, or semi or formal attire for work or a modest night out, but there's not much selection if you are under 35. Prices are usually 24 or 30 dollars an item full price, and they are washed, pressed, and in almost new condition. After 30 days, you get the items for half off, or 25% off if they are "designer." They are pretty picky about the name brands and styles that they accept. They have a lot of 3/4 and capri length items that older women prefer and seasonally appropriate attire.”

“We were on our way out of town on Friday morning and the dog ate my favorite pair of Skechers sandals I've had for years. So, we stopped in as soon as the store opened and I found a newer version of my favorites. The woman at the counter was so helpful, and we made sure to donate to the Petco and Bobs campaign. My new sandals served me well all weekend long. This morning, my husband forgot to close the bedroom door and now my replacements need replacements. What is so tasty about the left shoe????”
