“Staff is always very pleasant and make great conversation. Can be pricey for a goodwill though 💁🏽♀. A pair of used Sperry's with the soles coming out and stains were $15. Mind blowing that they weren't under $10 even with it being name brand. Clean location and very well organized. No fitting rooms.”
“Carmen and Sam are the best. They held my bag with home keys, (some sentimental stuff from dad and important paperwork) for almost 2 weeks. The next time i came in (todsy) 19 days later they immediately approached me and gave me my bag back. Thats above and beyond type of customer service. Thank you girls. You will be blessed. Just met the Store Manager Nicole. This store continues to impress. She's nice, professional and quite cute too!!”
“This place is great!! Such a sweet lady at the register w. Her cat eye shaped glasses. She was super welcoming and totally made us feel at home being new to FL and this place of business. We will be regulars here. We appreciate the hospitality and beautiful, warm welcome. Lots to see in this place. Can't wait to go back!”
“My first time visiting Ollie's and it didn't disappoint! Amazing selection with great prices. My cashier was very friendly. Thank you for an amazing experience.”
“Diane was very sweet she is a kind hearted person put a smile on our faces very good customer service made the environment feel like a safe place was very clean and organized over all a wonderful woman loved having her around !!!!”
“This is one ☝️ of my favorite ❤️ locations. The team of people working here are friendly ?and this location store is one 1️⃣ of the cleanest I have been to.”
“Dollar General is a very convenient and cost-efficient spot for snacks, drinks, and everyday household items. It’s easy to run in and grab what you need without spending a lot of time or money. The store itself is well stocked and does the job, but the exterior could use a little brightening to match the value inside. Overall, it’s a solid go-to for quick and affordable essentials.”
“We all know it’s understaffed but last week in the middle of being very busy the manager Stephanie took the time to make calls around to see if other near by stores had the item in stock. THANK YOU Stephanie ‼️?The RAISED PRICES STINK & the store SHOULD update the name ❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️”
“Shaia at checkout is wonderful! So nice, so friendly, so likeable. When asked, she even shared the perfume she was wearing which was incredible. I ordered it online as a Christmas gift for my wife as soon as I got home!”
“Dollar general is my latest jam! Love this place. They have great items for great prices plus their app makes it super easy to stay up to date on deals and redeem coupons. I've never been great with coupons but the DG app makes it so freakin easy, u can't forget. Love it”
“It's a good dollar tree that's for sure I've seen a bunch throughout the country and it's a good one! They have the stuff I was looking for and look for in all dollar tree stores so I was very happy. They could have used a little more help and they could hire me because I'm ready to work baby!!!”
“Great store and got what I needed. I feel that your policy for the way your employees are dressed should be changed. The cashier was pretty sloppy with about 5 piercings on her face. Not real friendly either.”
“This place is amazing it has so many cool stuff for teen girls and all the staff are super understanding and nice. I've never had a problem. Pricing is very fair too. I come here when getting gifts for myself, or family and friends! 😀”
“Store was very clean. Hannah was my cashier. She was very friendly and helpful. Store was well stocked. I found everything I needed! This is definitely my home store from now on”
“We needed 60 plus balloons blown up last minute. The manager and one of her coworkers were gracious, kind and so incredibly helpful! I have worked with this manager in the past on short notice for a funeral and she always does her very best to do all she can to help her customers.”
“During my errands I lost my credit card, I backtracked to this store and Sarah went above and beyond to help me find my missing card. She’s an excellent employee and honestly just a really good person.”
“Dollar General has updated their stores. They also have cute decorative rugs, picture frames with cute saying on them. Cute simple. Personally I would rather shop here then Walmart. But just like anywhere else you have to compare and watch how much you spend. lake Washington store has huge cold and freezer section isle are set up to where u find what u need.”
“Can't say I agree with alot of the prices but most of the employees are great and very helpful, especially that Damien, store looks awesome and always clean, keep up the good work!!!”
“Although I don't understand how dollar general ended up on a residential street in Palm bay, I stopped there today to make an exchange for my daughter. The cashier, Wil, was great: pleasant, knowledge and just really nice. The store is new therefore neat, clean, and full of stuff. But how many dollar generals does Palm Bay need?Update. 1/22. Apparently palm Bay needs lots of dollar generals. There seems to be one every five miles now. Today the shelves were somewhat bare. The cashier was very nice. Somehow DG gets good employees.”
“Manager Gil at Babcock and Waco dollar general is absolutely amazing. Our husky got out and made his way all the way down to this man’s store. He took him in fed him , gave him water and kept him safe until I was able to get to him to pick him up. Thank you so much for being so kind Gil you truly are amazing!!!”
“Just left this location today. I was frustrated trying to add a new card to my Google wallet and After having to go out to my car and try to figure ot out.. at my second attempt with a different cashier by the name of Joe (I think was his name, with a beard) he was able to actually tell me why I was being declined and assisted me with a successful transaction.. saved me time and prevented an panic attack. Lol Thanks Joe!”
“Just pick up certain items at DG a couple times a month. Some items have a better price than Walmart, but most are higher. Use the coupons and shop on Saturdays. Saturday coupon is 5 dollars off if you buy 25.00. Don't forget to check the size of the item. Price may be .50 cents less, but item may be 4 ounces less. DG used to cost less than Walmart, but now DG has changed the size of packaging.”
“Wonderful experience they always have to things in stock and I can actually walk through aisles the cashiers are extremely respectful and they are always helping and restocking place is one of the best stores I’ve been to especially out of dollar general!❤”
“There was a incident today at the dollar general the one manager was only making sure her store was good and three costumers had a problem with how she handled it from my point of view she did a damn good job now if it was me I would have done alot more than just say get out of my store”
“Wonderful store, very nice and clean. My cashier Shane was the absolute sweetest, very polite and did not hesitate to help me when needed during checkout. I will be coming back”
“My experience with this store is mostly positive. It seems like they are are competitor of Bealls Outlet and other closeout stores. The sales associates and cashiers are friendly and polite. They have some really good bargains.”
“Weekend Evening Staff is great but the store policy is quite insulting. I was told to put my backpack at the counter? Do you tell people to put their purses at the counter.? Do you think people need a backpack to steal? Not sure what your reasoning is but I can't trust a business that doesn't trust its customers.”
“I love shopping at this DG, they always have what I need at a good price and the employees are always friendly and polite. Especially the younger guy with the long hair...Skyler I think his name is? .....he was so extremely helpful during my last trip there, He deserves a raise!”
“I am a huge believer in the energy that you put out into the world comes back to you whether it be negative or positive is up to you. Today I had an experience at this Dollar General I absolutely reinforced that belief for me. Today I met Sheila, who is an employee at this particular Dollar General. When I came in, I was looking for something in particular, and I asked her if she might know where it might be. She immediately stop what she was doing, and came to help me even going to ask another employee if there was another place in the store that it could be located. I complimented her on her hat. She had a lovely black hat with a rose on it. Then I went about my shopping. I found more cute things than I probably should have, lol In addition, of course, to the one item that I had gone in for. Sometimes, you have to let the dollar store tell you what you need, lol! When I arrived at checkout, I was chatting away with Miss Sheila when she walked away and was gone for a couple of minutes I wondered to myself where she had gone or if everything was OK. When she came back… I was just blown away. She had stepped away to ask her manager if it was OK to give me some discounts on some of the items I had purchased. I was so incredibly touched and surprised that it almost brought me to tears. We chatted for a couple of moments while she was ringing me up about positivity and gratitude and kindness and grace. Hands-down, the best experience I have ever had in a store. Thank you, Sheila for being one of those people that brings light and everyone’s life that you touch. ❤️”

Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
