“I can’t say enough positive things about this place. Not only do they contribute towards help animals in need, but you can find some great qualify items here for very low prices. It is by far my favorite place to thrift in the area.”

“I’ve been volunteering at PAWS ATL for a few months now and really love it! They take very good care of all of their animals and work hard with them to find them loving homes. I recently adopted a kitty from PAWS and the process was simple, while still making sure that adopters have the right intentions when choosing a pet. If you’re looking for a new pet friend, I can’t recommend PAWS enough!”

“Very friendly environment and staff. I am a beginner and do not feel intimidated by other members or nervous to ask staff questions. The gym equipment is wonderful and I adore going to classes. I appreciate Matt helping me develop a workout routine. I am already seeing improvements and for once actually enjoying exercising.”

“Amazing, mission-driven organization that supports those in need. It is 100% volunteer-run and they do great work in the community supporting children without resources. Not to mention, you can find some great clothing and household items in the store. Shopping here is a great way to support the incredible initiatives of this organization while also buying your clothes in a sustainable way second-hand.”

“For pre-prepared food service, this is one of the better services. I've bought heat and eat meals from Kroger, Clean Eatz, and other food services, but Good Measure Meals actually taste pretty good (remember, it's frozen and re-heated, so it will never taste as good as fresh or from a restaurant), the portions are filling, it's a great value, and you give back to charity. A win-win all around. Delivery is consistent and friendly, and considering inflation, these are affordable and generally healthy.”

“Drawchange is a great organization that makes a significant impact on the children it serves. I have interned with drawchange this summer and have had the privilege to work in both the shelter programs and behind the scenes doing administrative work. When working at the shelter, I was able to witness how drawchange's art programs positively impact the emotional well-beings of the children. I have had a few moments where I was nearly brought to tears seeing the children's transformations. On the administrative side, drawchange functions like a well-oiled machine. As an intern, I was respected and given tasks that challenged me and respected my abilities. I would strongly recommend that anyone donate, volunteer, or intern with drawchange.”

“The Rally Foundation epitomizes a non-profit that truly does good for those fighting, have fought, or will fight childhood cancer. You can trust the funding is going to make that lasting impact on finding better treatments for childhood cancer, and that they will not rest until, hopefully one day a cure is found. I love how they support families in their fight and after whether that be with meals in the hospital or helping connect them with others.”

“We hosted a community program at Alif Institute, and it was a great venue for the group! Their building offers ample space for events with plenty of tables and chairs, and their large projection screen was great for presentations. Hosting a community-focused class surrounded by Alif's exhibitions and market was a great addition to the experience. Their staff was very welcoming as well! I absolutely recommend working with Alif if you need a venue for a community event, whether it's a social gathering, educational program, or anything else.”

“Took 32 high school seniors for a week of mission work and had an amazing experience! This team is the real deal!! They love God and love on the city of Atlanta and it’s people. They are so kind, friendly, compassionate about their work and educational in their approach to teaching others how to love on ALL of God’s people. The outreach activities were all wonderful and applicable to take back home and apply in our own communities. We felt SAFE, useful and learned and grew so much spending this week with Frontline Response! Hoping to make a return trip. Just GO!”

“Huge discovery today, went to hear live music free in the Garden Pavilion at the Woodlands Garden in Decatur. This is Seven acres of donated woodlands 20+ years ago by Chet and Gene Morse. Located on the corner of Scott Boulevard and Clairemont Avenue, a true delight. Many Champion Trees and the largest Bigleaf Magnolia I’ve ever seen. If you have company in town and want a nice, pleasant, ADA friendly walk, I highly recommend this garden. Free parking and free admission. NOTE: this is a dog free park so leave your pup at home. A true secret gem in Decatur/Atlanta area. If you want a beautiful drive back to Marietta or 75/85, take Scott Blvd. west which turns into Ponce de Leon Avenue. This is a four laned road that shows you some of the most beautiful homes in Decatur/Atlanta. Volunteer opportunities on Wednesday mornings 9 a.m.Restrooms: ADA accessible and very user friendly located in the volunteer officePicnic area: Perfect Picnic Park”

“Beautiful large farm & barn, part of DeKalb County Parks & Recreation system, with Atlanta Audubon (removing invasive species & planting native ones), Little Creek Horse Park Foundation (supporting entire site; membership & volunteer opportunities!), Stride Ahead Equine Facilitated Therapy & Learning (varied, flexible, & fun volunteer opportunities!!), Atlanta Riding Academy (lessons in hunt seat & jumping), Mark's Riding School (lessons in general equitation & dressage), and Saturday morning meetings of "Pony Crew" club for kids -- all operating at a high level of quality & concientiousness. Strong barn director, assistant director, & staff adhere to best practices for the safety & health of the horses (& safety of the humans, too). Privately owned and school horses are boarded here. Multiple pastures, mostly Bermudagrass (& I think some crabgrass). Hay, feeds, balancers, & supplements, plus winter blanketing, provided to horses according to owners' instructions (& horses' needs). Nice outdoor arena with lots of jump and cavaletti equipment. Well-maintained, large, indoor arena (I think traditional dressage arena size) with soft combination footing. I've ridden horses off and on all my life & am in graduate school in equine science. I took dressage lessons here for 3+ years 30 years ago, resumed 2 years ago, and find it super therapeutic. I also enjoy volunteering for Stride Ahead. The best way to get information is to visit, park your car inside the motion-operated gate, walk to the far barn entrance, and look for a staff member to show you in what area of the barn each organization operates. Go to that area and get phone numbers from posters on the walls. Do NOT feed, give treats to, or touch any horses when you visit because what you think a horse might like could make him or her very sick, plus you never know which horses like to "nip at" or bite your fingers. But DO visit and look at the website! ”

“NACA is it! If you are unsure about the program and/or buying a home please invest time in just learning about NACA and/or going to a workshop (you will be surprised). Information is key! I doubted that I wasn't ready or wouldn't qualify and I was wrong. They give you hope by creating an action plan with you, giving you a goal you can see and steps toward buying your home! It's OFFICIAL, I'm in the process now of buying my new home :)”

“Starting Spring 2021 I was very excited to know that Redeemer Church was open to all to worship. They could have easily kept their in house worship for members only, but they did not. I have since enjoyed volunteering in one of the ministries, and became a new member. It has been a wonderful journey.”

“This is a fine establishment for seniors to gather in a community settings that allows them to take all kinds of classes and have recreational activities. It is currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the staff has taken to Zoom to allow senior to continue many of their class activities virtually. It's a very commendable effort during these challenging times.”

“I've been to a couple of other places and this is the first one I've come to where it seems like the staff are genuinely interested in helping you. The income-based fees are extremely manageable as well.Update 7/20/23: I was a patient her a few years ago and it was so great. I recently called to find out obtaining medical records and the woman on the phone was incredibly condescending, impatient and rude. I just ended the call because I have neither the time nor the patience for that nonsense. She’s probably not a great person to be “assisting” folks that are trying to IMPROVE their mental health.”

“Attended an evening of Atlanta roller derby at the center. This is a cool venue to bring together food trucks, a live music band and the roller derby ladies. Definitely take a chance on this venue as everyone was exceedingly nice to open this space. A fun night for entertainment and people watching.”

“Came across Jerome and his business while looking for a tax accountant in Stone Mountain. He is highly efficient and professional. I had several business returns and a personal return that he was able to turn around very quickly. He even handled some bookkeeping items for me. Very reasonable prices and incredible service. I would highly recommend for business or personal tax returns.”

“I recently moved to Atlanta and used the 24/6 co-working site at Chabad Intown for several months and couldn't be happier. The team there was extremely helpful and helped me with any needs as a newcomer to the city. The site is new and extremely clean with plenty of options to work in privacy, in an open setting and also in collaborative spaces. It has all the amenities you would need and the contract and pricing is excellent. I would highly recommend it.”
