Sunrise Grocery & River Cabins is the oldest family-owned general store in Blairsville, having opened in 1920. It is a cute little country store with something for everyone. The store is famous for its boiled peanuts and offers a great mixture of stuff you need and normal staples, alongside stuff you just want. It has a variety of local products, ranging from candies, jams, handmade pottery, and candles to soap, apparel, sorghum syrup, honey, and fresh vegetables. They also have unique selections like local homemade jams, spreads, and brittle. The store manages check-ins for pet-friendly riverside and mountainside cabins. It is a great place that makes you feel like part of the local community, providing an experience with so much from local vendors. It is a favorite place to visit and a nice stopping place in the area.
If you're looking for an old country store, Sunrise is IT!! Produce, boiled peanuts cooked on site daily, and even old fashioned glad bottle sodas in the fridge!

How lucky we are this place is still operating today! I loved it! The boiled peanuts really live up the write-ups. Got some body butter, pecans and praline too. 10/10
