“Friendly staff, usually well stocked. Now that they've reverted back to the cashier having to check you out even at the self-checkout registers, there tends to only be 1-2 open registers open at a time.”
“We really enjoy the meat deals. But we do enjoy the whole store. The staff are great! Thumbs up to meat department for your awesome work thanks for the custom cut on my pork butt! Great customer service!”
“Dollar 25 Tree has a little of this an a little of that. It's still far more cheaper then everywhere else you shop today.. I try an buy things in bulk as you will never know when the store will get more.”
“A variety of interesting and useful things at pretty good prices. Not everything is a great deal, but the majority of things are. The store is very clean and the staff are nice.”
“Pretty well stocked with things you might need. They didn’t have parchment paper but I found a silicone baking mat!! It saved the day!
Walkable from marina..”
“It's Dollar Tree in 2025, it's fine. No, not everything is a dollar now but yes, it is marked and there are scanners at last. Staffing always seems to be low and there can be register waits but the cashiers are always friendly.”
“Went in to Dollar general and had to ask the cashier what her name was cause she had absolute excellent customer service and made my bad all around. Wanna thank the cashier Casey for going above and beyond to satisfy my needs and thanks for being generous and I love your patience as well. You held it all together very well!!!! ???”
“It's been a little frustrating because our local dollar General has been low on suppers at the one I was at today and the other store down Hwy 341 north has been rentavating it's store I'm told though that there dropping there line of clothes to add more of the items that they sale more of”
“Evan It's very patient with customers and very kind as well. I drive the extra mile because of his kindness and compassions towards baby boomers... He helps with the transactions and go beyond the call of duty to assist all customers. He always has a pleasant attitude. He's definitely an asset to your business. The older guy Calvin treats customers with respect and is courteous as well. This is a great place to shop because of its atmosphere that these guys create. DG store #1531.”
“Roses is a great bargain discount store in the shopping center with WinnDixie, ReStore, Tuesday Morning and Dollar Tree. Apparently they're a small local chain. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and informed about their products. They carry a little bit of everything, from home goods, to clothes, to automotive, sundries, hardware, food, toys, etc., like the 5-and-10 store of yore.Another store recommended Roses when I was looking for souvenir tee shirts for the Golden Isles. Yes, Roses had them, and a super bargain at $5 each!I bought a few $5 Jekyll tees, some bargains on Matchbox and Jurassic World toys, and some $1.50 striped beach towels I'm going to make into beachy throw pillowcases. I even found a $1 sewing repair kit I needed, and it was a huge bargain compared to the price at JoAnn's (Dollar Tree doesn't even carry these anymore). In addition to Suave and Softsoap products cheaper than Walmart, and isopropyl alcohol cheaper than Walmart or Dollar Tree, they also had 20qt stainless steel stockpots for only $16, an awesome deal! And decent quality flip flops for $4. They are definitely tailored for beach vacation rental house needs, and souvenirs, as well as local living too. As I said, a little bit of everything.Bought a bunch of stuff I didn't know I needed, and stuff I really needed at excellent prices! Went back two more times, new stuff each time. Love Roses!”
“Nicest Christmas cards. Great pricing. Candies are a little stale especially chocolate anything. I miss the warm welcome to customers coming in. That would be a nice touch for the holidays at least.”
“I see more negative post than i do positive. This is because for some reason a majority of us only seem to recognize the negative without knowing the full extent of the situation. They are obviously short staffed and have to close for the staff to have a day off. As far as bad attitudes well we all have bad days and we cant be happy go lucky all the time. Also welcome to the new generation. Good help right now is hard to find so in order to be open at all you have to take what you can get. If you feel that it upsets so much that you have to get on here and post negative things then maybe try to be part of the solution not just the problem. To everyone out there who is working short staffed, I thank you for all you do! I understand your situation because I too have the same stress and negative comments as you. Every once in awhile there is a positive comment from someone who actually understands that a store can not be ran 7 days a week, everything stocked and clean when you have half the staff”
“Ashley Wright the manager is absolutely fantastic. Every year she takes time out of her schedule to help me get organized for a charity event where I need a 100 stockings a 100 candy canes and she always makes time for me. She is such a huge help and has a great attitude. Thank you for adding to the Christmas spirit of giving.”
“Ava was amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of. Her professionalism and great attitude really stood out. I’d definitely recommend her and would be happy to work with her again.”
“Great DG they normally have everything you're looking for always in stock, the employees are very proficient.More than I can say for most stores that don't keep most of their products in stock.”
“I had such a wonderful experience at Big Lots recently! The store was bright, clean, and very well stocked! Everything was easy to find, and the shelves looked great.
But the real highlight of my visit was Miss Lizzie, my cashier. She was incredibly patient, kind, and went above and beyond to help customers. When another shopper accidentally left her candles behind, Miss Lizzie didn't hesitate - she literally chased the customer out the door to make sure she got them back! You do not see that kind of genuine care everyday.
The store manager, Mr. James, was also on-site and very friendly. You can tell he takes pride in how well the store runs. The whole team created such a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
If you're thinking about shopping at Big Lots, do it - and if you're lucky enough to have Miss Lizzie ring up your purchase, you're in for an amazing experience. I'll definitely be coming back!”
