Comfort Suites Columbus State University Area offers very large and clean rooms with nice white towels, though some guests noted the carpet smelled or felt wet. The hotel has been renovated and is in a convenient location, close to many restaurants and shopping, with everything within a short drive. The area feels safe and off by itself, with an outside space. Experiences with customer service vary; many found the front desk very nice and employees awesome and apologetic when issues arose, while others suggested management may need to talk with the staff. Maid service was generally reported as great. However, some stays involved significant inconveniences. Problems included broken or sunken-in furniture, malfunctioning TV remotes, a breakfast juice machine not working, and, in one severe case, a room left in utter disorder with garbage and an unmade bed. While some guests had a nice stay and plan to return, others described it as the worst experience, noting you get what you pay for amidst these maintenance and cleanliness inconsistencies.
I had a great stay here. It’s well kept and the staff was really friendly. Can’t complain with these rooms with these prices.

TV not working properly. Only allows on/off and volume. Shower water temperature goes from Luke warm to cool. Not hot. Breakfast out of eggs, waffle mix. Juice machine out of order.
