“Amazing experience today with the staff of Hammond’s fishing. Took my son in who is new but extremely excited fishing in ponds near our house. I didn’t grow up fishing lakes so I don’t have the knowledge needed to pass on. Enter Hanmond’s and they understood the assignment. They walked him through the store picking out exactly what he needed for different situations. He also told him how to fish the different lures. The employee didn’t let us buy stuff we didn’t need either. Love it. Amazing store with even better customer service. Will be back.”

“I’ve bought from these guys before. Luckily, I’m local so I was able to go to the showroom. Everyone was very friendly and I had a good convo with one of the employees (I forget your name but you’re the man. We talked about Aks and Mp5s). After a year of owning my Pro2A ar45, I absolutely love it. It runs flawlessly suppressed and unsuppressed. The only malfunction was caused by a bad magazine. Idk why these guys only have 4.2 stars, they’re great. As a gun collector and enthusiast, I Highly recommend these guys.”

“Overall, this store is fantastic for all your outdoor and sporting needs, and it's quickly become my go-to spot over competitors like Dick's.
​First off, the shopping experience is great. The layout of the products is super good—it's easy to navigate, everything is clearly labeled, and the aisles are wide. The store also feels really well lit and open, which makes browsing pleasant, not cramped. I've always been impressed with their stock availability; unlike some other places where things are hit-or-miss, Academy usually has what I need on hand.
​A huge bonus is the cheaper pricing. You just can't beat the value here compared to other major sporting goods stores. Plus, they offer drive-up pickup for online orders, which is incredibly convenient if you're in a rush and don't want to wander the store.
​The only downside—and it's a noticeable one—is the difficulty in getting assistance. It feels like store personnel are hard to spot, and when you need help finding a specific size or accessing locked items, you have to really search for an employee. If they could staff the floors better, this would easily be a five-star experience.
​Despite the staffing issue, the prices, availability, and convenience make this Academy a winner. Highly recommend stopping by!”

“This company has been around for several years, it was originally housed in Reformation Brewery in canton. Now they hung thier own "shingle". In the back area along the shops in the Etowah Mills. They provide the equipment to enjoy the water effect on the Etowah river. Let me just state this, this trek endured was a 14 mile slow trickle. Granted it's a beautiful way to beat the heat wave we've been having these days but with two people it was a quiet paddle. We were excited about picking up speed at certain points. But it was a long day (5 1/2 hours of making it to the end. I would recommend going with a group of people who enjoy the outdoors and with some adult libations. Just glad we checked this off the list on the different rivers we've been on.”
