“Came here for lunch during a quick visit to ASC and it was a very convenient distance from campus! The salmon bagel was very heavily loaded for the price, which was great! My girlfriend got the BLAST sandwich, which had a combination of salmon and bacon that I had never heard of before, but she really enjoyed it! They also had a very large selection of high end convenience store options.”

“Great selection of Indian food. They were in moving (renovation) phase, and the regulars found it difficult. I've been to a lot of Patel brothers, and this store is coming back to standards. I can walk in and at be at the counter at A Patel brothers that's close to a standard in less than 10 minutes with my bass cart full.”

a month's worth of groceries at Walmart or Kroger usually runs a couple hundred dollars for my household, but at Lidl it's never more than $150 for like a month and a half. the produce here is better than any other grocer I've been to, especially for the area. if you cook at home, this is one of the best grocery stores. ready-to-eat frozen foods and soda selection is insignificant compared to Walmart and Kroger, but overall price and produce quality is unmatched in the area. you can straight up just grab anything from the produce section and it's good - no need to pick up and inspect like a dozen onions just to find a decent one.”

“Definitely the cheapest grocery store in the area. However, some of the items stocked on the shelves are expired, and there are frequent rearrangements of the store which means it can be hard to find certain items. The lines to checkout can be long but the cashiers usually keep them moving fairly quick.”
“We found this amazing little deli by accident one day when we were just out and about and so glad we did, the lunch specials are always delish! To boot the butchered meats are fantastic.”

“I liked this Aldi. It was a different look from the Aldi in my neighborhood. Smaller isles to walk through. A standup glass display for additional frozen food products. A stand alone display in the rear of the store for just pizza, ice cream, and other premium type pastry foods. This Aldi's look way better than what's in my neighborhood.
I stopped here on my way home. I didn't really want to go into Walmart. I'm glad I went into this Aldi's. If this Aldi's was not so far from where I live, I would be stopping at this Aldi's. ??”

“Oakhurst market catered our wedding day, and it was delicious! Paula worked with us for months to make sure everything was exactly how we envisioned. She answered my many questions, and made sure everything was perfect. They are one of the Dekalb History Center's preferred caterers, and it is clear why. They set up all the chairs, tables, glasses, and did the room flip for the reception seamlessly. They even folded the napkins beautifully. Everything was on time and done with excellence. We did the Mexican buffet, and had the food set up in separate room, and it was fantastic! Highly recommend Oakhurst market for your catering.”
“This Publix has a very old school look to it that I’ve never seen before. It’s like seeing something from the early 1970’s. The place was clean and very organized of course. The staff is also despite the area that it’s in.”
“Most important it's clean! It never has that nasty raw meat smell like so many other places. Food prices are good considering inflation everywhere. I filled two deep freezers for $265.00 just the other day. Krogers wanted 27.99 for just a pack of wings. I bought a whole meat package for $30.00. Big difference in quality and quantity for sure.”
“I thought this grocery store was quite convenient to S. Dekalb Mall. They appear to have many items and the prices seem cheaper than Krogers for many things.
They have a policy where you must leave all outside bags/bookbags at the front. Which i thought was strange (never had seen that before in supermarket).
I had a situation where i was charged an incorrect price for some items ($2.79 vs 1.99). I pointed it out to the cashier (who was customer service) and she initially responded that i must have picked up the wrong items (she didnt actually check). So i went back and looked at the items and took a photo.. After going back to the CS desk, THEN she have an attendant check the price. They verify it is $1.99. NO APOLOGY. but they did refund the difference. And i even bought another item i didnt know existed because it was in a different aisle (they guy who checked the prices had brought it to the cashier for comparison).
So i didnt want to give 1 or 2 star review and be accused of not supporting black owned businesses or being "petty". But was i wrong for not wanting to be overcharged?”
“I stopped by Cakes By Keon for some slices of cake, I highly recommend the strawberry crunch cake. An employee at the counter told me they owned the restaurant next door and the food was really good. I was hungry, so I went over. The menu was limited, so I decided on a whitening fish sandwich with fries. After about 10-15 minutes, my food was ready. I wasn't expecting a piece of fish and 2 slices of bread, but then again, it was only $10.99. The fries were overdone, and I barely ate them. I also purchased a lemonade to drink. I really wish it was fresh squeezed since it tasted like Kool-aid lemonade. Overall, I'm glad I supported two black businesses. Definitely stop by if in the area.”
“I love this location always clean and super friendly staff. I always find the things you don't find in normal grocery stores. Always fresh fruit and vegetables. The meat is always fresh and cut to perfection. To be in the hood I love this store.”

“Hop n Shop is a staple in Oakhurst. A place for after school treats for our kids, a great wine and beer selection for the parents and last minute staples. Asif and the many great people that work there are like seeing old friends every time you go.”

“Great spot to pick up items. I like their craft beer and wine selection. There's definitely a lot of great local beers I saw in here. The guy with the glasses was really welcoming and friendly. He told me when to look out for new beers that arrive. For parking there's a private lot in the back of the store. I would definitely visit again.”
“This restaurant is everything I like in a neighborhood restaurant. It’s small, I was delighted they had plastic shields between the tables, and the food is very good. There are about ten tables inside and a few more outside. We had the traditional and barbacoa empanadas and the El Pastor tacos. Each came with a corn salsa salad and black beans and rice. We returned a second night and it was just as good. Our server (the same both nights) was not particularly friendly, but I’m not going to dock them for that. I could see myself eating here once a week if I lived in town.”

“This reminded me of St.Lucia when I was younger. I am from st.Croiux Virgin Islands and this is a very affordable store with fresh produce and drinks and an International selection of seasonings and drinks. This is also located next to Thomas Bakery where we ran in to get some bun and cheese.Yum”
