The vet, Dr. Ashley, was meant to do this challenging work: she was calm, informative, professional, and supportive. At every moment, she focused on what was best for our pup, Stella. I also appreciated the detailed website & the team's prompt & clear communications via phone and text. Another plus was their connections to Resting Rainbow cremation service, which was also top notch. There will always be a special place in my heart filled with appreciation for Heron's Crossing.

1058 Mistletoe Rd, DecaturGreat service and care, just do not understand why the $100 annual exam is just a physical exam that is practically visual and does not even reduce the cost of future care practices. I even had to point out abnormalities on my pet because they were not seen during the ‘exam’. The staff also could not explain to me why the exam is so expensive. The fecal exam that requires actual labs is half the price. Additionally, I had to call back to get the lab results I ordered while I boarded my pet instead of being informed when I picked them up.
This is my only problem, but the facility is great.

Coral Sands Animal Hospital
4201 Rainbow Drive, DecaturDr.Grant and his team are the best! He is patient warm and knowledgeable, and so good with fur babies. Jess one of his assistants is incredible- shout out to her! We always hope to see her when we come. Dr.Grant spayed my Lulu and she recovered great. They took special care of her on her first night and I would trust them with all vet needs. By far the best vet in town! Also affordable compared to others. Thanks Coral Sands!

The facility is amazing - clean, fresh, free coffee and an amazing office cat. If you want caring, conscientious service and clear communication and follow ups this is the place to go. They have helped me navigate some very complicated pet issues and having them in my corner is the ultimate peace of mind.

Before his first training session with me he did a board and train, when we pull up he is excited. He doesn’t great people till he has met them multiple times, he runs in and jumps on all the people who work there. It speaks so much to me that he is so comfortable. Our training sessions are thoughtful, they see how he is reacting and think about how to make it work better for him. I have a trainable dog but they have helped me and him worked together more. I would recommend them to anyone

And while I do think the stress exacerbated an underlying condition, I cannot say enough about how Camp Kitty handled it. He developed a urinary obstruction, and they notified me, took him to the vet, then the ER vet, and then when he was stable they picked him up and gave him his meds and made sure he was doing well. Above and beyond isn’t enough to describe it. I think my boy would have had the issue one way or the other and I don’t know that a once or twice a day checking in cat sitter would have noticed. So I think they literally saved his life. I will forever sing their praises.

They hand-make small batches of pies, including steak-and-mushroom (pictured, delicious!), chicken pie and a couple of vegetarian options. They've commissioned their own NZ-style lager on draft, which is a nice accompaniment to the pies. You order at the counter and find a table, inside or out. One of the tables has sofas around it, with some New Zealand kids books available. Comfortable and casual, I'll happily come back next time I'm in the area.

The coffee is excellent, they have in house baked goods, there is ample seating indoors and outdoors, there are community events and they sell things from local crafters. My dad had 13 brothers & sisters and only 1 is left so this brought back a ton of memories. Drinks are always on point and since I only eat red meat once a month this was truly a delight. I've had the blackened Grouper several times and it's one of the best Grouper sandwiches in the city. Always a large piece. The black bean burger is my other go to as well.

I had an online tech issue with my order but he called me day after day to update me. I had called during regular hours to also resolve but no one called me back. Paul did. When he started the evening shift he called every day until it gets resolved. He was so kind and offering condolences and was so understanding and kind in my difficult time. Paul is an absolute gem.
