“Great store! My Mom passed away and I now own the house. Since we now live in Florida and Macon has grown Big Time, had no idea where to go for certain "fix it" items badly needed! Unfortunately before my Dad passed away years ago, he always fixed things "his way" not the conventional regular way! Now to the goodie part... When we arrived, ALL the lights were OUT so we changed ALL the bulbs but NO Cigar! My husband went to check out the fuse box and what did we find but those Long Forgotten Glass Screw -In type fuses. Ohh yes! Who in the world would carry these things! Knowing the good folks at the A-1 Gun & Pawn Shop on the corner of the square across from the court house, we remembered the ACE Hardware Store next door! And of course they had exactly what we needed and we couldn't believe how inexpensive they were! The gentlemen there were absolutely the BEST! So helpful, and even tested the one we thought was bad, told us what to look for and not to do to be careful and safe. We were put at ease with the whole situation due to the time and care they gave us. So rare these days but not in Forsyth GA/Monroe County. It made me wish we could live in a town so beautiful with people who really care about folks no matter what the circumstances. Thank you ACE Hardware, Forsyth, GA.... The Blankenship's.”
“Had a bit of a weird request for the manager on duty, Dale White. We were trying to contact another retail establishment nearby this location whos phone line was disconnected. Dale went ABOVE AND BEYOND. He offered to run my company's info over to the other store for me so that we could contact them for a charity event. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have been able to place our charity order. I cannot say enough how much his customer service meant to us and saved the day for our event! It is hard to come by genuinely nice people these days and his small act of kindness will not go unnoticed. Thank you!!”
