They know what they’re talking about, and are happy to give their opinions/bounce ideas off you to help you get what you’re looking for. The prices are on the higher end, but you absolutely get what you pay for. And I’ve never felt like I was being upsold, or pressured to buy anything at all.”
“Everyone has their own experience, but mine on was some of the best customer service I’ve ever received! A team member of the store Phia recommended me this vintage 1970s Albert Einstein tee that I fell in love with, and the owner Erica was even willing to negotiate the price to 70% off! “This particular stores customer service is phenomenal! After receiving an online order with two different sized shoes in one box, I reached out to customer service. They informed me that was the only pair left in the entire company of that specific pair of shoes. My partner was bummed because they were really nice and he really liked them. They said we could get any other pair of shoes at the same price point for the sale price we received on those shoes. While waiting on a flight we popped into the Pooler location. While looking around he told Earl, the salesman there at the time, about the shoe situation and how he really liked that one pair of shoes. We told Earl we were headed out of town for a few days and Earl said he’d see what he could do to find another pair. The next day Earl called and said he found a pair in the right size and he would have them at the store in a couple of days. On the day we arrived back in town there was a message that the shoes were at the store and ready for pickup. When we got there, Jim assisted us with another round of great customer service and we left with the shoes that we were once told were no longer available in the size he needed. It’s hard to find service like this these days. Thank you Earl and Jim!”
“5 star treatment and experience! I was in Savannah for a wedding and forgot cufflinks. Ran into J Parker, and was immediately helped by two nice gentlemen in the front of the store, who proceeded to help thread a pair of cufflinks on my shirt and then even tie my bowtie! Nicest folks and seems like a well-curated store as well. Will be coming back next time I'm in Savannah.”
“I’m giving this place 5 stars.and I’ll explain why customer service at all time high from my review my husband was here shopping for his father funeral and I believe the kind gentleman that assisted him was Sam,He did such a awesome job with accommodating his requests. . I was beyond pleased and satisfied. . This was literally a one stop shop for the Hubby. . From the shoe’s, to his Suspenders, to the vest and shirt he purchased Sam helped him with every thing!! The hubby is a husky guy so they did have sizes of 3xl to fit him. . . If any one in the Savannah area I highly Recommend to those needing suits attire you won’t be disappointed! “It's pricy....that said, the quality is excellent so spending $100 on one T-shirt from here or getting 5 for the same price from a cheaper place...I reckon the one T from this place will last longer.One tiny issue....if you've got a tax exemption card the staff have no clue how to apply it. If not for that, it would be 5 stars.”

“If you’re truly passionate about vintage treasures, this shop in Savannah is an absolute must-visit. The selection is incredible — from handmade lingerie from the 1960s to unique vintage jewelry, you’ll find pieces that feel like they belong in a museum.
The staff is extremely polite and welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. And if you’re a lover of little nostalgic trinkets, you’ll be delighted — there are old postcards, tons of vintage photographs (I even found one from 1930!), and so many charming little doo-dads scattered throughout the shop.

“It's a black owned male fashion boutique...they have very nice clothes. They have a very good selection to choose from that is ever changing. The shoe selection is top notch...casual dress to basketball shoes, sizes 7 and up. They also have car spray and body oils. The owners and staff are awesome. I am never disappointed when I visit.”
“Before our trip to Savannah on a Saturday in October, I did some research to see what activities and areas were dog friendly. The guide mentioned that the Riverfront area had dog- friendly shopping, restaurants, and tours. My Miniature Schnauzer Coco, who happens to be black, and I came across the Black Dog General Store while walking along the Historic River Street. In front of the store were two amicable women handing out treats to anyone walking with a dog. I politely declined the doggie treat since my pup has a very limited diet and could easily get sick by eating a random treat, but it was a nice gesture. We walked into the store, which had clothing, bears, bags, and a bunch of other random things, all with the Black Dog name and logo printed on them. The items were pricey, but the quality seemed to be good. My Coco loves humans and was open to the store associate and customers petting him while admiring his Schnauzer cut. I decided to purchase a duffle bag. While checking out, I was startled by a very large dog tied up next to the front counter, and Coco was terrified. Fortunately, we did not get close enough for the dogs to make contact, but it would have been nice to know the dog was there. If you are a bougie dog owner and have money to blow, then I would definitely recommend visiting The Black Dog General Store: Savannah.”

“This store is very well lit, clean and organized. Levi has done a nice job of staying relevant with the times. They try and use sustainable products in their jeans and all the other items. There was a small handbag there made of recycled water bottles. The drawback of using new materials is we have no idea how they wear or stretch over time. And the jeans are sure expensive so it a real gamble. The staff is very friendly. And making online returns (Levi charges for returns through the mail) are made easy there.”
