“1842 Inn is one of the finest places I have ever stayed. The staff is the difference between good and great. If you are in need of a little TLC, this is the place to go. Charles the GM has a team that everyone can envy. In todays fast paced world, he has put together a group of people who are concerned about you. Everyone there was happy and willing to do a little more to make my say better.Rooms: My room was large and handicap accessible. Being a historic building, not all rooms are so. If you have any needs or concerns, call and they will make sure your needs are met. It would be great for private parties. Each of the downstairs rooms has a fireplace.Nearby activities: Macon is a beautiful city. We were able to go to Capricorn Records. I would recommend it to anyone who likes music. Call ahead, as we were there with a private group.Safety: The Inn is on top of a hill right by the college. It's well lit at night. The neighbors are all well lit Antebellum Mansions.Walkability: Its close to the Allman Brothers Museum. I was there for business and didn't get out, as there's an ample bar stocked with some of the finest distilled beverages available.Food & drinks: There's a complimentary breakfast in the morning and hot hors d oeuvres at nights. There's beer and wines along side some of the finest bourbon's and rye's.”

“That’s a cool place outside Macon downtown. The have live music, a play ground for kids and vendors who provide food. The vendor that was there when we went wasn’t that good. But there is an awesome pizza place right next door.They also have an outdoor bar and indoor bar. They make good exotic drinks and beers. They pretty fast in making the drinks.”

“Went to support my friend for an artist showcase and really enjoyed it! Ridiculously great prices, very spacious venue, and a staff that is better than any club staff I've ever seen. Wish they had food inside or more food options available outside but overall very impressive venue.”

“This is a great place! We were treated by Janet, she was so amazing. You could tell she really enjoys her job, and she even gave the kids scavenger hunts to earn a prize, and suggested other places to go after our visit ( which we did! Thank you Janet!). “Charming small restaurant (bistro) with great service and food. Priced as a special meal, vs. everyday lunch or dinner, but service, food and ambience make the cost reasonable. I was traveling through for work and my only regret was my wife wasn't with me to enjoy a wonderful, romantic meal. But this was a really nice solo dinner surprise after a long workday and long drive from south Georgia.”

“We chose this hotel based on it being dog friendly with no dog size restrictions. We travel with two large dogs and it’s hard to find a hotel that allows them. Beth at this hotel was so friendly, kind and accommodating to us. She was an amazing asset to this hotel. Check in was easy and our room was ready, on the first floor and easy for us and our dogs. My only complaint would be the room just has a few bugs on the hvac system and a couple leaves on the carpet. Other than those small cleaning issues we really did love the hotel and location. We will definitely be staying here again while traveling.”

“This is a really bad neighborhood. At least 15 of our cars were broken into last night as well as the hotels next door. Smash and grabs. The hotel should at least have live surveillance but employees don't have access so they can't even watch. Local lady said gangs are bad in the ares. I witnessed homeless walking through the parking lot several times. The room floor was sticky and hairy. Nothing had been swept. Bed was made,clean and comfortable. Staff was super nice and apologized for our cars. I felt bad for them. They need hazard pay. The police were nice and did what they could but was grateful a officer even was employed in that area with all the craziness going on in our country.**as of 5-20-23 the hotel never responded to my request to speak to them about what happened. They did not refund my stay. They did not apologize. I recorded their only employee around 1am walking off the property. I let them know that in a email. Employee could have been involved. The break ins were in front, right where the front desk could have seen or heard all the windows breaking. I was pretty loyal to holiday Inn but haven't been to one since. I stayed at least 10 nights a year at various locations. The police did call me a few days later with case# and I told them of my recording and suspicions. The thieves took at least one hand gun that a fellow car owner admitted to me personally. To me, with the lack of security,the hotel is complicit. I pray for anyone harmed with that gun and hope the gun owner never returns to a hotel with a no gun policy.***update 10-31-23. The hotel never refunded my hotel stay or my cost to have car repaired. They never even apologized for not putting up barriers to prevent this from happening. I have not been back to another Holiday Inn since. If someone from corporate would have at least sent a letter I would just blame the local management but seems they don't care about their customers safetySafety: Don't go there. Its not safe.”
