“I have loved the location in Kennesaw for years now, and only found out about the Marietta location in late 2021. This is a volunteer run shop with the most amazing people who really care to help you have a nice shopping experience. This location just like Kennesaw is always selling VERY gently used items and even a good bit of the time I will find things that are literally brand new with tags. Thank you for the generous donations of the community, as it is hard to find clothing that fits and thrift shops like SVDP are a lifesaver for finding all styles of clothing in your size at one spot. The holiday sales are especially generous where they will sell themed items for very very low prices. Thank you to this location for providing me such warm customer service during my pregnancy when I was here collecting baby items and baby clothing. :)”

“Aida Jones is incredible. I’m visually impaired. She’s helped me with housing and other issues. Such devotion to customer service and care is outstanding. Aida Jones deserves much respect and recognition for her diligence in my behalf. Her encouragement to continually function independently is very much appreciated. I don’t really deal with crowds well. So she followed up virtually for me. Now I’m on the up and up with my Marietta housing application. I’m so appreciative of her wonderful efforts to assist me.”

“This is my therapy center, I can spend hrs roaming around the store looking at all the merchandise. The staff is nice, specifically the older lady at the cashier, always so sweet and smiling”
“Expected this place to be clean and nice and it indeed is. Looks like Marshalls with the luggage and nice sections. Large store with clean restrooms and plenty parking. When I got into it, there wasn’t a ton in the men’s section. They do decent with size ordering but it was a lil off and there were a few off the hanger items. There was a lot for woman like a lot lot. They could spread out the lil mens they have. Clothes I did like ended up having holes in them. Please super inspect all items before purchase. I’m getting better at that. Nothing like thinking you’ve gotten a deal only for it to be ruined in a noticeable spot. Happy pickings. Cashier could’ve smiled”

They were very supportive courteous generous and showed him how to be a Christian in times of need when he was at his lowest point in his life. you helped him with shelter food clothing and a warm place to stay until he was able to find a job and a place to move to live. “Sheltering Grace is a great program Its because of Ms.Churn that I kept my baby. I called on a Thursday By Friday I was on the way to Sheltering Grace and Ms.Churn and her staff welcomed me with warming open arms. These ladies go above and beyond to care for us. They have taught me and helped me so much and continue to help me throughout my journey. Dr.Bell is a great man that is very understanding, caring and also very loving. Ms. Churn reminds me of my grandma so much I have grown so close to her throughout my stay she is very loving,caring, and when it comes to her girls she does stand on business. Ms.Chelsea which is one of my house assistant has a loving soul and very spiritual and loves to guide me in the way that I didn't know I needed. Ms.Kayla which is my resident coordinator a very great and clean chef that is always cooking for the house and she never disappoints. She also introduce me to this wonderful church that I love to go to each and every Sunday. Ms. Kayla also has helped me throughout my journey as well. I could not ask for a better support system then these ladies and Dr.Bell. They are always looking for us something to do and be productive.”
“This is the best Goodwill I've ever been to for ladies clothing and furniture. They stage their furniture nicely and the clothing seems to be less worn than at other locations. It's also generally clean.”

“I normally stop at this GW while visiting the area. The whole shopping center is undergoing a facelift, looks really nice. The area as others have stated isn't the safest looking, take precautions. Lots of parking, and quite a few others stores in the lot. The store is very clean, organized, and neat looking. I have walked out of some GW because of the clutter. You can actually find some good finds if you take the time to look. I found a exercise video & some canning jars that I needed. The store is a pretty good size. All the employees seemed nice and willing to help.”
“So grateful for this organization's help in bringing home our kitty! She has been with us for almost 3 months now. Julie was a huge help in making sure that we were prepared as first time cat owners and happily answered all of my many, many questions. When we came to the shelter, we were able to spend as much time as we needed to meet all the cats. We never felt pressured, but were given plenty of valuable information and advice. I appreciate the thoughtfulness they put into making sure that each cat is safe in their forever home. Pictures are from the well-kept cat rooms at the humane society. I love that the cats have room to move and play and are not kept in cages.”
