“Everything about the Butcher is amazing. Jenny (the receptionist) and Jimmy are both really cool and friendly. There was a mishap with my initial design, which Jenny and Jimmy compensated for my troubles by refunding my deposit and giving me the tattoo for free. Mind you, my tattoo was small, but still. I thought that spoke words and was really nice of them to do. For my tattoo, Jimmy made sure it was perfect and exactly the size and shape that I wanted. I got the tattoo on my ribs and was shocked at how little it hurt if anything the hardest part was trying not to laugh hearing the artists make jokes to one another. Overall, even with the mishap, I was beyond pleased with my overall experience at the Butcher. I would highly recommend the Butcher to anyone looking to get a new tattoo. I know I will be going back to get another tattoo.
11 years later with more than 20 tattoos done from Jimmy, I continue to have nothing but LOVE for this place. Everything is top notch! “This little gem was a huge surprise and delight. So much packed inside that little store, mostly from Ghana but the rich variety provided for a delightful trip. The shopkeeper was delightful, describing the lands and people they purchase from and other cultural tidbits. She also found the perfect, tasteful blouse for my friend based on her described wants. I found quality handmade batiks and enjoyed the other shop items. We had a great talk and obtained other local recommendations.”

“I visited Mrs. Jery Bennett Taylor’s Baskets store. She was a lovely woman and was creating a basket while I was there. They were all beautiful &, of course, hand made. She also had other artwork and greeting cards from Ghana, available. I highly recommend visiting Mrs. Jery’s store on the 2nd floor!”

“Fantastic art gallery with local artists! The artist working the gallery had her work displayed too and it was gorgeous. She walked us through the different artists and gave us stories about the artists and pictures displayed. She had a painting of a blue crab up on the wall and it was beautiful.Skip some of the tourist traps like the Prohibition Museum and visit here instead!”
