“This little gem was a huge surprise and delight. So much packed inside that little store, mostly from Ghana but the rich variety provided for a delightful trip. The shopkeeper was delightful, describing the lands and people they purchase from and other cultural tidbits. She also found the perfect, tasteful blouse for my friend based on her described wants. I found quality handmade batiks and enjoyed the other shop items. We had a great talk and obtained other local recommendations.”
“I had such a wonderful experience visiting Sabreee’s Gullah Art Gallery and meeting Sabreee, the lovely owner, artist and educator. During my visit she graciously provided aspects of Gullah history as it pertains to her work. I had a great time walking through the gallery looking at so many different artworks and I settled on one of her signature, beautifully embellished pieces that I had shipped to my home. It was wrapped very carefully, and came with a laminated description detailing its combination of Southern American and West African inspirations.
I highly recommend visiting Sabreee’s and look forward to visiting again!”

“George Davis Fine Art & Antiques is one of those places in Savannah that you can easily walk into for a few minutes and end up spending far longer than you planned. For anyone who appreciates art, history, antiques, and objects with a story behind them, this gallery is well worth discovering.

“I visited Mrs. Jery Bennett Taylor’s Baskets store. She was a lovely woman and was creating a basket while I was there. They were all beautiful &, of course, hand made. She also had other artwork and greeting cards from Ghana, available. I highly recommend visiting Mrs. Jery’s store on the 2nd floor!”

“Everything about the Butcher is amazing. Jenny (the receptionist) and Jimmy are both really cool and friendly. There was a mishap with my initial design, which Jenny and Jimmy compensated for my troubles by refunding my deposit and giving me the tattoo for free. Mind you, my tattoo was small, but still. I thought that spoke words and was really nice of them to do. For my tattoo, Jimmy made sure it was perfect and exactly the size and shape that I wanted. I got the tattoo on my ribs and was shocked at how little it hurt if anything the hardest part was trying not to laugh hearing the artists make jokes to one another. Overall, even with the mishap, I was beyond pleased with my overall experience at the Butcher. I would highly recommend the Butcher to anyone looking to get a new tattoo. I know I will be going back to get another tattoo.
11 years later with more than 20 tattoos done from Jimmy, I continue to have nothing but LOVE for this place. Everything is top notch! Jimmy has taken every idea/concept I have had and made it 1000% better. Like my tattoos, I will forever be loyal to this place and get my work done here. This place is the best!!!”
