I was greeted by Mr. Richard, the owner, who is one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve ever met. He has run this store for over 20 years, and you can tell how passionate he is about the culture and community. He took the time to talk with me, help me pick out a gorgeous dress with a matching headscarf, and even explained the meaning behind the ankh symbol on the jewelry I purchased. It made the experience so personal and meaningful.
I left not only with pieces I adore, but with a heart full of appreciation for the heritage and care his store represents. I will definitely be returning. If you’re in Savannah, you must stop by!”

“I visited Mrs. Jery Bennett Taylor’s Baskets store. She was a lovely woman and was creating a basket while I was there. They were all beautiful &, of course, hand made. She also had other artwork and greeting cards from Ghana, available. I highly recommend visiting Mrs. Jery’s store on the 2nd floor!”

“Fantastic art gallery with local artists! The artist working the gallery had her work displayed too and it was gorgeous. She walked us through the different artists and gave us stories about the artists and pictures displayed. She had a painting of a blue crab up on the wall and it was beautiful.Skip some of the tourist traps like the Prohibition Museum and visit here instead!”
