About Embassy Suites by Hilton Savannah Historic District
Embassy Suites by Hilton Savannah Historic District is a very nice hotel that meets expectations in a beautiful location. It is a perfect spot for a weekend trip, situated in a calm and nice area about a mile or a short 10-20 minute walk from the historic River Street district. The hotel offers clean rooms with very comfortable bedding and daily room service. Guests enjoy a complimentary and excellent breakfast every morning that is very varied and complete. The happy hour reception from 5:00-7:00pm is also excellent, offering complimentary drinks and light snacks, and is described as an unforgettable experience. The staff are consistently highlighted as great, with front desk and food and beverage personnel noted for being friendly, hospitable, and going above and beyond. However, some maintenance and housekeeping issues were reported. Common areas were sometimes in desperate need of cleaning and vacuuming, with debris in hallways. A significant odor problem on one floor was not adequately addressed by maintenance or housekeeping staff, which was frustrating for guests. Despite these concerns, many guests report a great or thrilling stay and would definitely stay again, highly recommending the hotel for a visit to Savannah.
