“I needed to stop by a post office to have an important letter tracked and mailed. My local post office had slow lines out the door. I saw this one listed on Google Maps with 3.8 stars. The facility is small but they are very efficient and the staff is friendly. Great post office.”

“I really appreciate this location’s service. When civic center USPS at 570 Piedmont Ave is closed or too packed or too slow in the middle of the business hours, I would go to this location. The lady and gentleman there are super nice and welcoming. Nowadays, they help with printing out shipping labels from QR code. Easy and convenient.”

“My first visit here today but it won’t be my last. Discovered this little post office by chance but found it compact, convenient, and quick. Everything the main USPS facility in Decatur is not.”

“Received excellent customer service here! The location is small and it might have one or two clerks at that desk to assist you. My experience was great, the clerk was very helpful and accommodating, she even verified a zip code to ensure my package made it to its destination. Thank you Pine Lake branch!”

“Extremely quick service, the quickest I have ever been in and out of a post office. Marcus was extremely helpful, kind and professional. The woman behind the other register was very kind as well. Overall the best experience I’ve ever had at a usps location.”

“Needed to apply for a new passport and chose the first option available for Atlanta. Everything went smoothly thanks to Mr. J. Thomas as he kept everyone moving along with his service. He was able to get me to the right place and person to make sure my appointment was done in no time.”

“The USPS employees here are outstandingly professional, kind, and empathetic despite being understaffed and consequently quite busy. It's been my consistent customer experience each time I've come here that the people do their best (despite the unfortunate USPS budget), and they always go above and beyond to patiently help customers.”

“I had the most amazing experience with this location this morning! Both Ms. Chelsea and Ms. SaPeria were great, these ladies provided a smile and hello greetings to everyone who came into the post office for counter service. I had to purchase a money and then send my letter certified mail so, I stepped to the side to complete my transaction and witnessed these two ladies provide a positive response to at least 15 customers, yes 15 because it was a busy time before closing. Please recognize and say Hello to these two GEM’S ! At time when most people provide negative energy and all you expect is positive vibes, this has to be recognized! Have a great day everyone!”

“I wanted to send some large flat photo mailers international. I first went to the Briarcliff post office, where the clerk said they could not process international for some reason, and then told me that each packet required a customs form. So I took the forms and filled them out at home. The next day, I headed to the Chamblee post office, where I was told that they could not process international mail at their facility as their machines were down temporarily due to paperwork issues. The clerk recommended I go to the Dunwoody post office. When I went to the Dunwoody post office, the clerk questioned why I wasn't able to mail international at either facility, and said I didn't need a customs form for large envelopes that were less than 3/4 inches thick, and even showed me his screen with the instructions. There was no special machine to process international. He just used the same scale and program as for domestic. He processed my mailers at a letter rate which was much cheaper than the parcel rate that the Briarcliff clerk said I needed. I was in and out of the Dunwoody post office in a matter of minutes. I appreciate getting the quick efficient and accurate service that the other two post offices did not provide. For the record, the Briarcliff post office has not mailed international for me for at least two years that I recall. Guess I am driving to Dunwoody for this special service from now on.”

“Mr. Jordan is the best clerk I’ve ever worked with at any US post office. I had to be there for a while and heard him with all the customers. This guy just makes your day better.”

“Lady there today was super helpful. I came in with hardware to send back to an eBay seller with nothing but my shipping return label and she did everything for me. I didn't spend a penny. And she was very sweet. Thank you Ma'am!”

“People give this post office a hard time because they don’t know that it’s a mail processing center — only for dropping off pre-labeled/pre-paid USPS items to mail out, and for picking up your mail that’s being held for vacation or as requested by sender. They do not sell postal items and cannot label mail for you, nor do they have staff for someone to always be at the service window! Their main job is to just intake and process mail delivery for a large swath of intown Atlanta. We use this location to mail packages for our small business, and our mail is received through it.Any time I’ve ever had an issue in receiving a package, I’ve called or filed a search request and someone promptly calls me and helps resolve the issue.Today they helped me with an issue and quickly resolved it — it reminded me to leave a review. Thank you, mail carriers!”

“Yulanda and C. Sykes are always extremely helpful and patient. During the winter holidays (when lines are extra long), they decorate the lobby in a fun and festive manner with holiday tunes so that although the wait is longer than usual, it can be pleasant.”

“At a time when exceptional customer service is hard to come by, I'm consistently impressed by the dedication and kindness of Ms. Nelsoms and Brian at this Dresden Dr. location. During my weekly visits to pick up held mail, Ms. Nelsoms has gone above and beyond—tracking a mistakenly returned package and expediting a delayed mailbox key replacement. Brian, always a bright spot in a bustling environment, remains unflinchingly courteous and understanding. Despite the myriad challenges they face, both Ms. Nelsoms and Brian manage to provide outstanding service with unwavering poise! They truly deserve commendation for their exemplary efforts!!”

“This is for everyone who is looking at the bad reviews.I own a business called ifkazi. They have not once lost my package nor have they showed "carelessness." While the lines are long and there is no kisok at this point in time, I would still recommend going here.”

“I received top-notch service from the people at this Post Office. I had prompt service when I reported that I needed my P.O. Box in my condo re-keyed. Thank you so much to Ms. Woods/Hollis, Frazer, and Harold. The three of them got the job done!”

“Nice ladies in there. Kept me from taping my box with usps tape when my package was actually meant for fedex. Appreciated their help. Fast service in the morning”

“The staff is very nice Terry, and the other gentleman that works in there regularly. The location is kind of Rundown and seems like the United States Postal Service would make upgrades or at least do some type of facelift. They could use more Associates in here at this location. Like I said typically there are lines but the staff is great and works hard to get the line to move quickly.”

1.8 Poor48 Reviews

“I ran in to mail a package and was surprised that there was no line to speak of. The clerk was super efficient and processed my package quickly. I love the USPS tracking, as I can see where the package is at any time. They do have a sign that they are out of Christmas stamps. I was able to order online earlier and got my stamps delivered. Highly recommend online services!”

“When I visit this location, there is often a line. Having been a usps employee, I know the workings of those in the back. There are usually 2 clerks but folks fail to realize is they are human, need to have their breaks and lunches. It is not their fault when there is only one clerk. It is a managerial issue. They can only give you what they have. If this office is only given 2 clerks to work the window, then why beat up the clerks. Every time I go, if there is more than a 5-10 minute wait, the first thing that the clerks say is I'm sorry for the wait. An apology goes a long way with me. I have been on both sides of the counter. Believe me, customers act as though they are paying postal employee's salaries through their taxes. When in fact, the Postal Service is the only government agency that is NOT subsidized! When the cost of running a business escalates and funds get thin, they get no funds like the banks and/or car manufacturers. When you are seemingly not complaining about the electric, gas or other price increases, you just pay the bill and keep on pushing and accept it. It's a shame! I only logged on to see the hours for today, Saturday. I hope you have better experiences in the future.”

“Byron went above and beyond to help me get my mailbox fixed and helped me with many other tasks in the process. Wonderful service! This is the only USPS I will go to in Atlanta! Thank you!”

“I have been to this post office several times over the past few months. Each time I had very good experiences. My experience was both of the ladies that work there have been very friendly and very professional. They work hard to keep the line moving and to meet customer's needs. I've seen them go above and beyond when it came to clients.I was having a problem getting some information changed and I could not get through to a customer service representative by phone. I was trying by phone, online but I was getting no where. I was so fed up!Luckily, I went in again and spoke to Ebony. She knew right away what to do to correct the problem. Again, she was very friendly and professional! I filled out the necessary forms and Ebony made sure to submit some additional documentation from me. And FINALLY, due to Ebony going the extra mile, my problem was resolved. I had been trying for almost two weeks but it took Ebony to set things straight. I am most grateful to her!”

“Honestly I have had nothing but good experiences here. Whenever I have problems at another location, I'll just come to this one here in Doraville and I never have a problem. They have always been nice to me. The only gripe I have about this location is that they don't have an a self service machine.”

“This is actually a decent USPS. Staff has been helpful when I have visited. There is a helpful kiosk that can be used to buy stamps and print labels without needing to wait in line.”
