“I just want to give a huge thank you to Shon at Books-A-Million for going above and beyond tonight! I contacted the store right before closing because my daughter had Book Character Day at school, and I was trying to find the perfect book/character for her.

Shon was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. He took the time to help us find a book for my daughter Journi even though it was close to closing time. That level of customer service meant so much to me as a busy parent.

Because of him, Journi will be able to participate tomorrow and feel excited and prepared. Moments like that really matter to kids.

“Rebirth of the local bookstore! While there are a few other locations, it's a great local feel I haven't enjoyed in awhile. It also just so happens to be the first bank I signed up for on my way into the military. Weird feeling, honestly. Either way, this place is DANGEROUS. I'm gonna be spending entirely too much money here, especially since bringing back yellow-tagged books (Gottwall-bought) gets you value back toward even MORE books. Like I said. Dangerous.”

“I had a blast shopping at the Last Chance Goodwill. Thursday is .50 cent day for anything in the store. The store was organized and had items from every department. Store employees were very professional & nice. Worth a visit!!”

“Staff was friendly and helped me with everything I needed. Only problem was they only have 2 registers been open most of the time, so if it is busy and you are in a hurry good luck!”

“People might not realize that often employees are mentally challenged and or having hard luck to be employed by Goodwill. They might not have the same thought process as you do. We've had a few act rude and even a couple act out. You need to understand that you help some get a job that might not otherwise be employable. Of course there are intelligent, calm, and critical thinkers employeed to. Give grace and be grateful your able to help. The person we came in contact today never spoke as he unloaded our truck with our help. He dropped boxes with cups and glass. We asked him not to drop the next box so hard and he did. To me these are treasures I'm getting to donate because I have too much as we're downsizing homes. I presume to him it's more junk he has to wade through today. I admit it was hard not to say OMWord, but I somewhat, begrudgingly, kept my smile. Be kind! It's almost easy!”
