“I purchased a shotgun online drive a hour to pick up the gun at academy and was told by the rude male employee at gun counter that I couldn't purchase firearm because my wife was on auto deny because her license and ss card last names were different. After doing some research I found out that is not true. The employee was very rude and refused to sell to me for a reason that was not valid. I am done with academy sports. Not only did I not get what I had already paid for I also wasted 2+ hrs driving there and back.”

“Went in the other day to get some ideas for a graduation present. Multiple employees asked if I needed help finding anything and also told me that if I needed help with anything to just ask them. After browsing the guns they have out on the floor, I wanted to view the ones behind the counter. After looking I found a gun that caught my eye. I asked for assistance and a gun salesman asked what I needed. I asked him if I could hold and look at the particular gun that caught my interest. I asked a few questions about it and the salesman was very informative and knew what he was talking about. He also gave me information about others guns I wanted to look at and shared a story of a customer he had a few weeks ago and had good reviews about one of the guns I was looking at. I didn’t catch his name but if you are new into gun collecting or shooting and looking for a place to get new gear, I highly recommend chucks. Great customer service and friendly staff.”
