“I recently got approved for a car loan through Hoku. I went down to open an account with Daphne. Before opening the account she went through the membership qualification and explain each product and service that they had. Very informational and detailed. So much so that I ended up opening a checking and an additional savings. I transferred my direct deposit over to Hoku based on the level of service that I have received. I have been with them for four months as of this review, and I absolutely love them. I no longer need to go to a specific bank to deposit cash or checks. I can deposit it any participating ATM that accepts deposits. Not only in the state of Hawaii but throughout the mainland. That is so convenient. Where has Hoku been on my life? I am glad that I joined now. It is a small community-based credit union I don’t feel lost in the thousands and thousands of customers that a bank may have. I love my credit union.”

“This is my bank, the staff here are always friendly , happy, quick & efficient. The line here is never long, & if it does have more than 5 people, the staff that handle other guest services will assist you at their desks, which helps get the customers serviced quick. I like that they have multiple branches all over the island. I always recommend this bank.”

“Are you putting solar panels on your house? Are you not independently wealthy? Do you need a loan? Well HSFCU offers a PV loan with 24 month no interest accrued and no payments due. The interest rates after that are decently priced. If you can save up some money and make payments on the principle prior to the end of the first 24 months you can save thousands of dollars in interest.Besides PV loans they offer other services of course. Every time I have been in this location the staff always greats me with a smile and is very helpful with whatever questions I have that visit. You can also get up to 2 documents notarized per day at no charge for members.”

“Reviews are true, their hours have been a bit wonky lately. I think due to the pandemic, they had to adjust hours and the BOH online has the wrong hrs posted. But they are definitely still here and not closed down as the yelp app is showing. This is not a major branch, located inside of a Safeway. Lines depend on when you arrive. Usually I experience no wait up to two people ahead of me. I had longer waits only 3 times in about 3 yrs. Once was about 20 deep. Still, line went a lot faster than a competitor I used to use. My reason for this review is for the Ewa Beach BOH Team They have always been awesome! They deserve Kudos for Customer Service with Aloha Spirit! I hope someone in upper management recognizes what a great team BOH has at Ewa Beach Branch.”
