“Good grocery store but not my favorite KTA location simply due to size and variety of items. I didn't see a Poke/seafood section or a bakery/hot food section. Still a great choice if you are visiting or base yourself close to downtown Hilo.”

I do suggest keeping your valuables hidden from sight due to the homeless issues in the area but just remain aware of wherever you are and whoever is around”
“It's a nice Safeway. Sucks that it is the only decently priced (at times, $5 Fridays are where it's at) with a mile radius. Pharmacy is very helpful and their greater customer service.”

“Staff were welcoming right as we walked in. The store is very clean and organized. Produce and other goods were high quality. You can also purchase local art and goods- which we ended up doing. We also received very good advice about the local farmers markets from the staff. Would recommend shopping here, Mahalo!”
