The rooms are comfortable and feel like old plantation houses, with soft beds and a cozy vibe. Breakfast is simple, fresh, and satisfying, with good, strong coffee available all day. However, the hotel is quite run-down, with peeling paint, cracked floors, and stained beds from the 80s. Water heating can be slow, taking up to 15 minutes, and some rooms are in need of repairs. Late arrivals are accommodated with outside keys in a lockbox, demonstrating helpfulness. Despite its aging condition, many guests find it adorable, rustic, and full of character, making it a good choice for travelers who don’t seek luxury but enjoy a unique, laid-back atmosphere.
We stayed here for about a week. This is not a streamlined luxury hotel. It is peaceful, calm and truly Hawaiian vibe. The free breakfast was great one of the owners was there eating too. The rooms are simple and clean. The building is historic and a real peice of old Hawaii.
