Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki Hotel is a great budget hotel in a fantastic location, especially for those avoiding the more crowded strip. The place feels safe and is decently quiet for Waikiki, though some street noise is expected. The rooms are very simple, basic, and can feel outdated, but they are clean and functional. Some rooms offer a fabulous view. The hotel has invested in technology, with castable TVs in the rooms. The front desk staff are generally very friendly, kind, helpful, and highly responsive, with efficient check-in and check-out processes. However, one negative experience was reported where a staff member was uninterested and displayed a poor attitude when discussing booking and fees. The property includes both hotel rooms and Air B&B units. Guests appreciate having everything needed for a stay and many state they would definitely return for a short trip.
Really run down and in need of a facelift. Although the hotel is currently undergoing a few modernization projects. Until those are completed, expect low-end amenities and slow elevators. This is a perfect place to stay if you don’t intend on hanging out on property or spending relaxing days in your room.

The experience with my stay at this hotel was satisfying. The front desk were helpful and would ask if I needed anything to just let them know. Plus the bar at the main lobby is a vibe.
