“I visited the Don Quijote Honolulu store in March 2025, which had just opened on February 15, 2025.
There were many people in the store, and it was very lively, which made me realize how popular it is. There was a wide selection of souvenirs such as macadamia nuts and chocolate, and some items were cheaper than ABC Store and other supermarkets.
The aisles were also wider than Don Quijote in Japan, giving it an American scale. Japanese food and daily necessities were also available, and it seemed to be used by not only tourists but also locals.
There was a wide variety of products, so it was fun just to look around.
I visited Don Quijote Honolulu in March 2025, shortly after its grand opening on February 15, 2025.
The store was bustling with many customers, which showed how popular it has already become. There was a wide selection of souvenirs like macadamia nuts and chocolates, and some items were cheaper than at ABC Stores or other supermarkets.
Additionally, the aisles were wider than those in Japanese Don Quijote stores, reflecting the American scale. They carried Japanese groceries and household items, and it seemed to be a place not just for tourists but also for locals.
There was a large variety of products, and just browsing the store was enjoyable.”

The essential thing to do when shopping here is to first obtain an International Savings Card, and if you show it at the time of checkout, you will receive a 10% discount.
There are some excluded items such as cosmetics, but even on sale items, you can receive an additional 10% discount after the ○○% discount.
The place to receive the coupon is at the cashier counter near the bath supplies section of the linen section on the 3rd floor.
Tourists are asked to show their hotel key or passport to confirm their identity, but Japanese people never forget to show their face pass.
Especially if you're looking for clothing regardless of brand (everyday wear, loungewear, etc.), it's much cheaper than the street stores at Ala Moana Center.
You can find items that fit not only baby and children's clothes, but even adults if you go to the American size high school student section.
A popular nationwide department store also favored by locals.

“Some hidden gems with great prices but you have to sort through the items sometimes. Quite a bit of designer gear. There's a Nordstrom rack in the heart of Waikiki and another one about a 15 min walk from Ala Moana shopping centre. We found the one near the ala Moana shopping centre had more stock but the Waikiki one is still excellent”
“We visited on Easter Sunday and as soon as we entered we were greeted by 2 sales people. They were helpful and informed us of the sale that day. The store is smaller than we are use to but we did find what we wanted and with the 30% off it was a good price.”

“The store was clean and well stocked and the staff friendly. It is pretty much what you expect from a Ross. It is harder to find as it is off the parking area on the Ocean side with a sign above the door, not the usual big sign of the other Ross stores. It is more of a midsized store.”

I stopped by because I needed disposable chopsticks to eat in my room, but they don't sell just chopsticks, and if you purchase a side dish, they will give you one at the register.
However, I was told that they were out of stock that day, so I received a fork instead.”

Yup this is my retail therapy and yes there are negative pros and cons shopping here but it's still five star regardless as all I can say about Ross...thank you as they provide amazing finds if you take the moment to browse which is very therapeutical lol! This Hawaii Kai Towne location isn't the largest though I did find some favorite items at this location sometime I think it's the layout as having a smaller sales floor does make it less overwhelming to go through each aisle which is very narrow here finding it frustrating to walk pass a shopper with a shopping cart as some aisle makes it impossible to browse pass them. The staff here is a delight as I bring my purchase with getting a huge compliment CUTE! We chatted a bit and loved the price is a fraction in comparison to other shops. Retail therapy is certainly found here. Thank you!”

“This is not a typical Target , you will not find everything a regular Target store stocks as its a bit smaller. Has friendly team members stocking shelves who will help you if you cant find stuff. Big plus for me is the have real human (tax paying) cashiers - much rather support a neighbor vs some foreign made check out machine.”
