“We loved the freshness of the pokebowls and the sushi, and the prices were excellent. I wish we lived in Hawaii so we can get food there all the time. The store was clean and the workers and cashiers were very helpful and professional.”

“This review is purely for the service I recently received. The store itself is a little older, smaller, and missing a few things, but convenient when you need this or that last minute and live in the neighborhood. Easy parking. Oh, and the $7.99 grab-and-go poke bowls are perfect for a quick lunch, too. And very fresh produce. Ok, so this is a good store and I guess this review is for both! However, the people here truly shine. Due to some confusion, my card was charged erroneously. Not a small charge either, almost $100 which is a big deal these days. I had no receipt to back me up, just an explanation of what had happened. My wife said I could try talking to them but neither of us were very hopeful. I'm sure people come in with all kinds of stories!Needless to say, once I got the whole story out, I wasn't given any grief about it. In fact, the front-end manager was very understanding and apologetic even before they were able to check things on their end that corroborated my story. They were even apologetic about the time it took to look into things. In the end, I walked out with the charge reversed and a $10 gift card from another manager for the inconvenience. You just don't find that kind of service anywhere, so thank you!”

“This Safeway is the funnest one I've ever been to! The parking is whack, but once you take the time (an hour or two) to find a spot, it's go time! The produce is way better than the Times in Kahala. Yeah, some weird mold on the bottom of an heirloom cherry tomato container, but don't be grabbing things willy nilly. Look at your food before you buy it, ya know? The strawberry supply was dwindling, but I'm guessing demand is high. C'mon, they're strawberries. We had a brief hula hoop contest in aisle 10 and no one yelled at us, so we all won. My kid found a lost phone on the Corona cases and they called the owner's friend then returned it to the store, also giving their number to the friend so no one can steal the phone. We take safety seriously. We brought our own ambience, by way of Apple Music, because we prefer Tyler the Creator while we are grocery shopping. By "we," I mean my kid. I tried to pretend not to know them, but couldn't quite shake them. We found the candles my boyfriend has been looking for and we're all really excited, even though my kid looks like an angry republican. They were psyched, they're just 14... I'm sure you get it. Anyway, we went through Claire's checkout and she was the best. She has a broken ankle and still stands there and is all happy with everyone! Girrrrrl, they better throw a raise your way! You're the real MVP! On our way out, we had to give one last shoutout and round of applause for Bob! We love you Bob!!”

“I come here early morning before heading to work to get some items. Love the Mr. Brown Coffee. Store is pretty clean. Some items would be out of stock due to late shipment. Some shady characters outside near the Bank of Hawaii area and smoking section. The graveyard team is nice and helpful. Blonde girl with glasses (Tish) is very attentive and assisted me during check out. She was nice enough to help me pick out an umbrella during the rainy season. She showed me each one. She also had good knowledge of what was on sale every week. Overall good service by Tish !”

“We usually head over to Manoa on Sundays to visit the smaller and less crowded Longs/CVS, Safeway, and Farmer's Market. This is our favorite Safeway to shop at in town. It's not as large as the newer locations, but it's typically very clean and well organized. The customer service has always been very helpful and pleasant. And being located in the Manoa Marketplace, there's lots of parking and other shops to go to (including Starbucks across the street). FYI, the clearance items are located in the far back, behind the meat area. Some pretty good deals can be found here. I guess there may be good deals all over the store, but I, quite frankly, don't have the patience to go looking for them. Unless it's for ice cream. At times, Safeway has INCREDIBLE deals on ice cream and I WILL go out of my way to take advantage of these. If you go early, like we do, you can take advantage of the full assortment of pastry specials. You can also avoid the crowd of weekend late risers.”

“Stocked up on things for the fridge on my room, like poke, creamer, yogurt. But also a great selection of local coffee, chocolates, Spam and other unique specialties. Good prices.”

“Make a list and check it twice as Times has so much to offer! One thing I do love about this location is that the parking lot is large and well maintained with just steps away from the market itself so no elevators or crossing the street to access is great.I did come for something very specific and had to be in and out quick so knew that coming here is the best solution...until I browsed since I found that item so quickly that there was always something else I'm looking for and did manage to find something at a great deal omg!!Times also famously have various plate lunches daily, poke counter, even a service counter where you're able to get bus pass, HOLO card, stamps, and Western Union transaction that's a little bit of everything at daily store hours of 6am to 11pm you know it's a great pick up place.Thank you!”

“Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii... Located across from McKinley High School, this Longs Drugs Store (aka CVS on the mainland) has free parking and a drive-through pharmacy. I used my GPS and found out that there's an entrance from Young Street, too! When I entered the clean, brightly lit, air-conditioned store, I was immediately greeted in a cheerful manner! I whispered to the kind staff that I needed to use the restroom... LOL! She courteously escorted me to the employee restroom... thank you so much! I was actually in a rush to get to an appointment, so I quickly looked around at my favorite things: bunnies, snacks, greeting cards, sale items (they thoughtfully post the weekly ad) and Hello Kitty cosmetics... and drove off... I'll be back!”

“I would like to give a round of applause to your employee (Davelyn) for her outstanding customer service. She always has a smile on her face and is always willing to go out of her way to help me find any items I need and can't find. I came in this store several times in the mornings and evenings to find items that I couldn't previously find and she never fails to ask if I needed help even if she just asked me. Tonight 02/17/2023 around noon I had come into the store and was having some trouble with the online coupon. She was kind enough to help me find the coupons and teach me for future use which I truly appreciate the help.”

“BANK! I thought a short review was in order since my mom and I usually come here once a month to send money to the Philippines. PARKING: Street or in the many parking garages around Downtown. We usual parking in the Smith Beretania parking garage (the walk is about 5 minutes to PNB). COVID PRECAUTIONS: 1. Social Distancing guidelines in place: only 2 customers at a time allowed inside the bank. 2. Customers must wear masks inside the bank. 3. Staff are wearing masks. 4. Plexiglass placed at the bank teller windows/counter. I appreciate that the exchange rate for peso to dollar is posted in the window, as its a helpful way to calculate the conversion/amount that will be sent. My mom and I appreciate the convenience of the location and services provided by PNB. The tellers are always friendly and helpful, and very patient when processing the transactions. NOTE: There is a fee to send money to the Philippines, and I believe it depends on the amount of your transaction. BOTTOM LINE: Convenient location (you can easily run errands in downtown). Friendly service.”

“Thank you to the male worker at Longs Pali today. I looked for the cool whip 2/$4.00 and couldn't find any. i asked him if Longs was already out-- and he went to look in the back. He brought out a box and handed me two. Thanks again for your help today.”

“Great place to shop when in town for your grocery needs or for their daily lunch specials. They have such a great variety of things here and an array of desserts in the front area. They have cakes, pies, jello, yogurt, eclairs, etc... They also have someone making mochi daily for purchase. We stopped in for lunch and ordered some hamachi poke and mochiko chicken. The poke was okay, not so much flavor. I needed to add some shoyu to assist in then flavor. The mochiko chicken was okay. The pieces of chicken were small and some pieces were not coated with mochiko so it did not have a great flavor. The service is great but I didn't really care for what I ordered. The lady at the self-check out counter was super friendly and talked story. It's a great place to shop for groceries, desserts, and certain daily specials.”

“Quick shout out to Joshua of the meat department for providing great customer service this morning. I was lil bit shame for ask at first especially since braddah look like he was prepping his case for the day by seeing what needed to be restocked, but I went ahead and asked. I needed a larger cut of meat than what was in the case. Joshua said he could cut me a larger piece. He asked me a couple questions regarding what I needed and wanted and then proceeded to the back. He was probably gone for maybe just a few minutes. I am very pleased with the size of the chuck roast i got. Also gotta say that the cashier Gus (or Ges?) was also great! Quick yet, still friendly. I had bought quite a bit and brought my own bags. Gus didn't hesitate to bag em all, separating the chilled items in one bag and the non-perishables in the other. Separated how they should be. Trust me, other stores can't even get that right. FYI, I usually only shop in the mornings cause the parking lot of Kamehameha Shopping Center is TERRIBLE during the day.”

“Don't let it fool you from the outside... This bank is freakishly small I stopped by here out of convenience since I came from Costco area this was the closest location without getting stuck in traffic, rail construction and with ample free parking all those make it a great positive location to visit but with just three tellers it can be awhile thought the staff here are nice very and friendly. It's just strange not to see any security presence inside but all that matters is I got to finish one part of my adulting process and get on my way with just thirty minutes to spare...whew! Thank you!”

“It's sad that this Walmart will close down in couple days. It's convenient for people working and living around that area. I always get the items I need.”
