“The best collector shop on the island. This place is packed to the brim with toys, comics and more. They actually had a ghostbusters hot wheels ecto but we decided not to buy it because our 3 year old would want to open it. We ended up buying a peter venkman funko for him to play with. The owner is really friendly and helped us navigate our stroller in his tight shop.”

“This place is awesome, gotta be the best place for Gunpla on the island. Small shop with lots of kits, tools, and accessories for all at reasonable prices. Especially tools, since I saw so many tools that I couldn't find in other places or they're super marked up online. Derron was super helpful and went to great lengths in finding a hobby knife for me. Would definitely come here again for all my Gunpla needs.”

There appears to be a tight community within the store, as it is always packed with people playing cards or opening packs together. Most of the staff aren't helpful but one particular staff, Chris, is always very attentive, informative and friendly. Each time we've shopped here we've been offered a tiny free promo item, which is a nice added benefit.”

“I frequent Think Things often (I have a 7-year-old!). Every time we visit the store, I can always count on friendly banter with their employees when I am checking out. Occasionally, the store will be slow and we will talk story with Marcus, who is always very helpful when we're looking for "something"!Their selections of toys, especially ones that encourage a child's interest in STEM, is pretty decent. They also have a good amount of the toys that are trending at any given point in the year (Pokemon (figurines and cards) as well as Bakugan). I also appreciate their selection of nostalgic toys such as lava lamps and plasma balls!Their prices are higher than what you would see on Amazon or Walmart or Target; however, I can imagine they need to factor in shipping costs and their rent at Kahala Mall.I recommend checking Thinker Things out! Even if your kid doesn't find anything, you may find a piece that reminds you of your childhood!”

“I was hesitant to come after reading negative reviews but glad I did! They do have hand sanitizer when you walk in, which we used because realistically everyone is touching all of the merchandise. Employees were friendly to us. They have a huge selection from figures, eating utensils, stationary, blankets, stuffed animals, calendars and lots more. Most are not things you will find online. We bought a $25 8inch stuffed animal and a $12 calendar. Happy we got to see the store”

“Kawaii and cuteness overload... JQ Store Hawaii found it's new home here in the International Marketplace from the former Ala Moana Plaza and aren't we all thrilled that they did. Filled with all things Japanese it's not limited to the plushies and stationaries we all grown to love and miss as many Japanese stops have slowly disappeared JQ has a great variety to please all levels of anime lovers. Located on the second level right above the Kuhio Avenue Food Hall the first thing I saw as soon as I walked in was some discounted holiday items which is a great time to stock up and find unique decor that area so cute and fun. They do have a huge stock of plushies so fluffy and cute all covered in plastic so that you have no worries of cleanliness along with mystery boxes, huge choices of pens and model kits which are items that can be pricey but are hard to find items even in Japan. A great place with staff that are always willing to help you find items that they may help you to find or just a question, here at JQ Store its a fun trip without the long travel plans. Thank you!”

“Had such a pleasant experience today that I needed to make a review. This was the first time in years since I set foot in a Toys R Us, and I'm so glad it was a positive experience. Came in for the Pikachu Christmas ornament promotion. Before heading down I called the store to see if they were participating in the promotion. Dillon (I believe was his name?) was great to talk to. Went to the store a few hours later and had to ask my cashier about the promotion again. She was nice! But Dillon happened to be next to her and provided excellent customer service that went above and beyond. Dillon, if you're reading this, thank you SO much, you really made my day. I'll definitely have to go back to that location for any toy/gift needs.”

“Kawaii overload... Here in Kalihi City Square Shopping Center to be exact is From the Heart which is popular ups at certain events is known for all things collectibles. Cards, character, mystery boxes and even Legos. I really care with the intention to browse since I was in the area but my roaming eye found the cutest item that I couldn't resist though most of them are gifts so I can't post images of them yet. So much things to see and the staff is very knowledgeable of every item and if you purchase a muster box and open it right there in the shop and discover that you don't like the item you do have the option to trade...these are from the same set and from other that have done so as well and depends on the availability and is a great deal considering you have options. Some sets do have the option to purchase without the mystery as well which is a great option though giving gifts takes that fun away so opted out in that...so the mystery remains. Thank you!”
