“10/10 enjoyable diesel train ride with rare views and fun stories. Our 4 year old son had a fun time. Looking back, I do wish I brought a cushion to sit on, haha. The ride from Ewa Beach, through Barber's Point/Kalaeloa, Kapolei, Ko'olina, with a reverse course at Electric Beach/Kahe Point was really fun. We had a snack run on our return trip so when we passed through Ko'olina, the train stopped by the restaurant, Monkeypod Kitchen, and gave us all ~20 mins to stretch our legs and get a snack from Starbucks or the fancy ABC store. While the train mosied along, our narrator/guide told stories of Hawai'i's olden days. It was fun spotting all the sisal plants and kiawe trees from the old plantation times. And, hey, since when did Kapolei have pheasants?? Anyway, this was a great experience. Come and support this place! And get ready to throw shakas and waves, haha. There's even a toy train museum to explore. Mahalo!”
“USO Schofield Barracks is great! The staff were kind and welcoming. The interior felt peaceful and calm. Plus they have a bunch of video game consoles for fun, and WiFi! Definitely recommend them! Have a great day!❤️?????️”
“The name speaks for its self, it was fast and informative on what you need to know about CRP. The location is easy to find and there is a parking structure for the building. First hour valiated. ? Will be back here when I need to renew my certificate.”
“Hawaii Restaurant Association is really looking out for its members. I have been a member for a year while trying to get my ice cream business in Kailua off the ground, and I can say that the HRA board have really go out of their way to make sure I am successful. Special kudos go to Dirk Koeppenkastrop, the board's secretary who went out of the way to visit the future store location and freely shared his restaurant owner experience with me. I highly recommend the HRA membership to any restaurant owner or a prospective restaurant owner.”
“Awesome folks and I make sure to visit here every time I'm in town. Everyone is very friendly and I would say most of the people here are very skilled (I'd estimate USATT 1500-2000). It's a very clean facility and it's nice to see such a tight-knit group of people playing TT together on an island. There's also a very highly rated player named Carlos that trains there. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try but if you are visiting the island, you can perhaps look into it to see if they have any space available. After 4:30PM, there are a lot more parking available on-site because some shops close at that time. It's also the busiest time with more players so it's recommended that if you're a visitor, come around that time. I always grab a burger from Bob's bbq across from the street and have a cold beer to end my day.”
“A Hidden Treasure in Mānoa!
My tour at the Mānoa Heritage Center was absolutely amazing! The grounds are stunning—filled with native Hawaiian plants like the beautiful ʻōhiʻa lehua, which I especially appreciated as someone who practices lei making. Walking through the gardens felt deeply inspiring, like reconnecting with the roots of our island traditions.
The history of the property was fascinating. Seeing old photos of Mānoa and hearing how the land was transformed gave me such a deep appreciation for this place and the people who care for it.
As a special treat, we were offered fresh-picked ʻulu, juicy mountain apple, and a refreshing cool cup of tea at the end. The groundskeeper was so warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable—it truly felt like visiting extended ʻohana.
If you're looking for something meaningful, peaceful, and rich with Hawaiian culture, this tour is an absolute must. I’ll carry the mana of this experience with me in every lei I make.”
“An ancient Hawaiian fishpond that was built 800 years ago and recently restored about 20 years ago. The very few traditional fishponds left. The staff were extremely passionate in the work they do and restoring Hawaiian culture and educating the public. If you're visiting, you can either do an educational tour or volunteer on their community days. Do not expect to purchase fish commercially here as it is mostly still in restorative process so the fishpond is mostly educational. I recommend that you consider coming here if you're interested to learn about sustainable fishing in Hawaii. We had Keli'i, the co-founder and Assistant CEO guiding us and he's a great speaker. Mahalo team!”
“Mah alo U.S. Vets. They help me and my family during covid 19 pandemic. I have service connection and housing!

“I love this cultural center for the informative museum they maintain. You can also pick from a plethora of modern and antique items in their gift shop. Exceptionally friendly staff.”
“Some of the most exquisite architecture can be found at the YWCA in downtown Honolulu. It's a great place for a workout if you're a woman. It's also a great place to learn how to run a business for women although I see some men attend a classes as well. One of the best restaurants in downtown Honolulu for lunch, is Cafe Julia located inside the YWCA. Friendly staff, great food, and overall good atmosphere for a business lunch meeting.”
“Great hike, clean bathrooms, and thank God for a shoe cleaning station with a brush. After the hike you will definitely want to clwano ff your shoes, it's muddy but has great views.”
“Being new to the island, I was a little hesitant to sign up because I didn't know anyone. But now I go almost every day and that has alot to do with the friendliness of everyone there. They make you feel like family!”
“The Leeward YMCA Aquatics instructors are terrific, especially Landon. Haley is responsive and Jeanie has a firm and supportive style that pushes the kids to reach new milestones. My kids have advanced several levels in just 5 months of group swim lessons (Guppies, Minnows, and Fish). We are considering private instruction or swim club once they finish Flying Fish. We feel lucky to have found this program after finding out we were #400 something on Leahi Swim School’s waitlist.”
“Fun fact, this building was built over the old oahu prison (the Reef)where executions were by gallows.
Anyone experience any supernatural activities while here?”
“Emily Broderick and Aunty Lorna Pacheco from the Pu'uhonua Society sent out the kahea to come together at this beautiful place for a good cause. To open in prayer, we gathered under a majestic hala tree. This beautiful place was the perfect setting to gather. If you don't know about their good works, look up Pu'uhonua Society and learn about their contributions.”
“First time ever Karen experience. Got yelled at bc i answered phone in a quiet zone. My first time here i had no idea it was written on closed doors. No mercy. Rude rude. No Aloha.Staff are super cool and friendly that’s why the good rating.Mahalo ?”
“A baby shower for my neice was heldat the Momilani Communty Center. The venue is a good place to hold events such as this. We had set up for fifty people and had lots of room to spare. The venue has a l arge main covered area that is open on two sides. There is a smaller enclosed area that can hold thirty. They have a small kitchen. I'm not sure if you have to pay extra.”
“Need more details on a lot of subjects? Grassroot Institute of Hawaii is a great resource. Have questions? Contact them, get their newsletters or emails. Support them, they are the best! The sad part is that those making final decisions are very rarely open to consider what might be a better way.”
“I stopped here looking for items for my daughter to help put together her dorm room. It had pulled plenty of things for us to choose from.
Clean an organize.
The staff was nice.”
“Very friendly staff. They also have a food bank every Tues and Thursday but you gotta bring your own bag. I haven't gone myself cause if I don't need it I'm saving it for people who do.”
“If you are ever inclined to volunteer for this wonderful organization, please do not hesitate to step up to do so. You not only get the opportunity to meet some fantastic, dedicated athletes, coaches, family members and organization leaders but also get that good feeling deep inside of you knowing that you are making a difference in their lives. Sometimes we need to give more of our time than just monetary contributions, although that helps if you have the means.”

“The building & grounds are very nice. Everything inside is clean and organized and I was able to get what I needed for my scout. Snapped a pic of the hours on the outside of the building.”
“I visited Urasenke Tea House with my husband during one of their weekly demos and we were astonished by the level of richness of history behind "chado", the way of tea. The location is beautiful, peaceful and authentic. I felt as if I was visiting Japan again!Ritsu and Sensi were very kind and answered our questions as they guided us between areas of the chashitsu (tea house). We tried the delicious matcha tea and sweets.Make time for this place on your journey to Waikiki and remember to leave a donation (up to you). I'm 100% looking forward to visiting Urasenke locations all over the world!”
“I have read positive and negative reviews about the AMR Community Center and I'd like to say the negative comments seem a little dramatic. We moved here last year in October and whenever I had an issue or needed anything the staff was very kind and accommodating. I'm not sure if the people who complain are upset because they didn't get their way but this is a great community to live in and the staff keep it running smoothly in my opinion! Thank you AMR Community staff and maintenance for doing such a wonderful job!”
“Staff were super nice and helpful! We were able to donate mattresses, furniture, housewares, clothes, and toiletries. They helped us unload everything and gave us a receipt for tax purposes.”
“One of my favorite times of the year is HFWF SZN. A fantastic culinary experience hosted by locals highlighting chefs from around the world coming together to collaborate in the islands. Every year the HFWF has something new to offer: ideas, products , experiences and friends to meet in the industry. The shared visions between HFWF & Hawaii Ag Foundation for promoting ag education, sustainability and cultural programs has been impactful in the community and I'm delighted to see this event flourish year after year. Next year will be 15 years - WOW Congratulations HFWF!”
“Best care! Caring and professional staff. I could not have been happier with the care my mom received. St. Francis Adult Day Care was an answer to our prayers!”

“Great selection, nice people, amazing prices. Also they have art for sale at very attractive costs. The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is I bought a book here and went to the library and as I left the red alarm beeped and I was told that they had to search my bag. Embarassing that it seemed as if I was stealing books. The book was in fact one I had purchased here that was still checked out. I would hope they would check such things before sale.”
