“This could have been a terrible review without the help of Ikaika… I’m a scratch golfer originally from Oregon where I worked at one of the largest pro shops on the west coast. My first impression of Rodger Dunn Golf was a positive one. Friendly staff, that seemed knowledgeable, and helped me to find exactly what I wanted. I walked out with a new Scotty Cameron putter. The next time I came in it was the same thing. Great service upfront and they helped to find the right set. The set I had my eyes on were a set of Titleist T100•S irons With TSR3 metals, and a Vokey wedge set. I decided to purchase the irons first and told the salesman I would like to buy them today if possible. This is where the whole company begins to fail. First, they say they have a set in the box and ready to go in their inventory list. AWESOME! After 30 minutes of searching the whole store, no irons were found… Then they say they have to order it but first need to get in contact with the Titleist rep to see their stock and get a turnaround time for the set. It takes 4 days and me calling them to get a call back just to be told it’s 2-3 weeks out and I can’t get the modus shafts I wanted. No problem, I’ll just get my second choice of shaft an AMT white and roll with it. The sales rep confirms over the phone that we are all set and good to go. I even call back 3 minutes later to confirm the specs of the order and they are confirmed verbally back to me. I then wait 2 weeks and give them a call to check in and get a status update. Mostly just hopeful and excited but not expecting anything. When the salesman answers the phone, Ikaika happily helps me and tries to find the order. But there’s no order form anywhere, apparently… I am now starting to get very frustrated with this whole process and I’m starting to regret purchasing through Rodger Dunn. If I ordered online through Titleist I would be a few days away from my new set and would have had a tracking number and everything… This is where Ikaika steps in with awesome customer service. He explains he cannot find the order but will contact a manager and investigate. The next day he calls multiple times to make sure I contact them. Takes accountability when all the other reps claimed a miscommunication to skirt around it. He has been in constant contact with me since the order and I have just ordered my TSR3 Driver through him which he has already ordered and called to confirm once more. Personal service will always beat online service, especially when it’s handled like Ikaika handles his clients. Thanks Ikaika!”

“At Second Wind Maui the owner Kevin is a pleasure to deal with and extremely knowledgeable about local wind and wave conditions. He always put my needs first by checking weather forecasts daily and advising which days were the best to rent gear. I rented a surfboard for 2 days and kiteboarding equipment for 2 days. The gear was new and in excellent condition. Even better Kevin’s store is less than 5 minutes from the beach, it couldn’t be more convenient if you need to rent additional equipment. Thank you for several magical days on the water Kevin, look forward to renting from you on my next trip to Maui.”

“Wow, are these guys still around? If so, they're not in the same spot they were when I was here last (back in the 90's) but just across the street from their original location. I still remember their humongous dog that greeted customers as they entered the tiny shop. EXPERIENCE: While they do shirt screen printing and what not, I gave them a good amount of embroidery business, as did a classmate I turned onto this place. Yes, back in the 90's when high school letterman's jackets were in, mine was a step-above everyone else's due to added embroidery work, from my name on the front to a customized phrase on the back. I'd take in my jackets, choose the font, thread color and thickness, and had them back in a few days. I wore my jackets day in and day out and the embroidery work withstood all of life's bumps and bruises and never frayed. Service was always good. OVERALL: I wish I had some pics to share but those jackets are long gone. If I need any embroidery work, I know just where to go.”
