The Costco Bakery offers a diverse selection of baked goods and food options. The Roast Beef Sandwich and Rotisserie Chicken Salad are recent additions to the menu, with the salad featuring large chunks of chicken that may need to be cut down for more even distribution. While the salad was not particularly flavorful, the hot dog combo remains a popular and affordable choice. Customers also appreciate the wide variety of Hawaii-specific items available, such as shirts, nuts, coffee, leis, and local snacks, which are reasonably priced compared to other local stores. The bakery also offers a large selection of sushi and seasonal Hawaiian products, making it a great place to stock up while visiting Kona. The parking lot is often very busy, especially during peak hours, but tends to be less crowded just before closing. Customers have noted that this Costco is always extremely busy, particularly on Monday mornings when local businesses are provisioning. Staff members are friendly and helpful, such as when they assist customers who forget their Costco card by looking it up and printing a temporary pass. Overall, this Costco provides a good shopping experience with plenty of options, though the distance to the nearest location can require a significant time commitment for some.
Grocery stores are very expensive in Hawaii. Costco does not mark up prices as do most other business's on the islands. As an fyi, avoid Monday's especially mornings. Mom and Pop restaurants appear to do their business provisioning on Mondays. Be patient, this Costco is always extremely busy.

I love this Costco! It's not busy at all. And they have all the stuff you can get at every Costco. And they have seasonal Hawaiian stuff! And they have tons of sushi!! Enough said.

Few people acknowledge the people who clean up the area. Danette was working her ass off in the outdoor food dining area about 3 weeks ago. Kudos to her. Not an easy job.
