“Jack's Diving Locker was a great option for an accessible Manta Ray night dive. The staff was very helpful getting on and off the boat as well as with getting in and out of the water. They were very accommodating while maintaining their respect for your independence and ability, Brad was a great dive master and the whole crew was fantastic.”

“Sending you Aloha made delivering flowers to my mother on the island easy, fast and reliable. I live on the mainland so delivery service important! I called within short notice, and she was able to accommodate quickly. She kept me informed and updated during the entire process, sent photos of the flowers before they were delivered. Her communication was excellent and I will continue to use her services for all celebrations for my parents that live so far away from me. Thank you for helping me make my mom’s birthday feel extra special. 🤍”

“I haven't been here yet. I just moved here but all of these 1 star reviews need be dismissed. This is a neighborhood market in a very remote town and part of the world. It is a blessing for the community and we should all be grateful, always.”

“This place is a gem! Conveniently located so I can grab coffee, snacks, and gas before hopping on Saddle Road. I think their prices are very reasonable. Gas costs the same as down by the airport. I love their 100% Kona iced coffee! No coffee tastes better on ice than Kona, and it's only $1.95! I also got a piece of their house made Key Lime Cheesecake. So delicious! Highly recommended!”

“I am not too surprised about the prices here. It is HUH-VAI-EEE. Place is clean and decent selection. Standard Bakery stuff. Bought a salad that was good. It looks smalls in the photo but had two chicken breasts in it. I was stuffed.”

“This place is truly an oasis in the desert, so amazing, I don't even know where to start! By 9:30 am, I'm hungry and ready for lunch. I walk in and there is so much hot and ready, beautiful food, it blows my mind! Musubi, poke, salads, sandwiches, fresh fruit, fancy cakes, even hot teriyaki salmon over rice! Me, I went for the tuna-potato-macaroni salad. It was so fresh and homemade, it 100% broke da mouth! Their drip coffee was pretty good, but they also have an espresso maker for lattes and cappuccino. Plus, there's an entire market and a nice, covered outdoor eating area. Oh, and there's even clean bathrooms that you don't have to beg to use!”

“Great Costco! Wonderful staff. They have a few things here that you won't find on the mainland like leis and local snacks. Great place to stock up while visiting Kona. They have taco platters like other Costcos on the mainland. The parking lot is super busy. Less busy just before closing. My mom forgot her Costco card and they were really nice about looking it up and printing a temporary pass. They also gave us recs on sights to see.”

“Not a ton of pumps, and I didn't go inside so I can't say what that looks like. The price of gas is about average for the city currently. I did notice they have a vacuum available for cars (just one) but can't say if it's free or not. So why four stars you may ask? The reason is location, location, location my friend. Situated just up the road from the Kona Coast Resort, if you're bougie enough to be staying there or working nearby it provides an opportunity to get gas unmolested from the working class types in the city below. Located far enough off of a main highway or city street it is almost never busy which is rare at a gas station on the islands, so you won't have somebody crawling up your tailpipe to get at your pump. It's also situated on top of a hill, with gorgeous views of the ocean to contemplate while taking a moment to relax pumping gas before joining the unwashed masses below.”

“We rented a car from a private service and had to wash and vacuum the car before returning it. The touchless car wash was more than sufficient since we rented a sedan and didn’t do anything off-road. Price for the car wash was reasonable. You can expect to pay anywhere between $12-16 pretax depending on the level of wash you want either inside the gas station or at the drive up kiosk before entering the actual wash. They do have an option for brush washing but I’ve always had bad experiences with those. There are 2 stations for vacuum, air, and water. Vacuum is a little weak on picking up sand and in crevasses but it’s what you’d expect from a DIY car wash. Paper towels dispensers are on the gas pumps which are right across from the vacuum stations. It can get a little tight since you’re sharing space with the pumps. It can be busy in that area and there’s no real place to line up so you gotta make it work.Overall, it accomplished what we needed.”

“This store has the most beautiful selection of Hawaiian trinkets. I was able to pick up sandals and bracelets. I was surprised to find a huge selection of chocolates and lots of other goodies.

My husband brought comfy sandals for our trip as well. The prices are slightly higher than supermarkets but you are truly paying for convenience”

“CVS Long’s in Kailua-Kona (Palani Rd) is always cordial and pleasant upon arrival at the store. My biggest concern is when calling the pharmacy service, the AI continuously “apologizes” because they “didn’t get that”. It can be very frustrating. The good news is that eventually, the AI acknowledges your request and confirms the order.”

“The staff is very helpful. They tend to carry things that are not available in the big box stores. Sign up for an extracare savings card. I often get email offers for $/% off that I transfer to my card for additional savings.”

“Stopped by to fill up my rental car's tank on the way back to the airport, and I picked up some really good fried chicken for the flight home. The chicken was fried perfectly and was very tasty, even after a couple of hours.”

“Hidden gem in the airport. Once you make it past security, go towards gates 6-12 and look for the news stand. There is ice cream in the freezer once you are inside.

I flew out of gate 2, and I doubled back past the agricultural security scan (you are free to go back and forth). I was able to run from gate 2 to the newspaper stand and back to gate 2, buying ice cream, in no more than a few minutes.”

“I have to give this place a 5 stars for service.I was trying to sign up for the CVS card so I can get the deals (the price for mauna loa mac nuts are much cheaper here than target or walmart) but my phone number kept not registering. They were so patient and tried to fix it but in the end it didnt work. The cashier offered to ask someone to scan their card so I can get the offer. This was the best service.”

“Went In here to look for a Hawaii Tank top to take back as a souvenir, but I didn't find any. However - I did find some other items 1/2 price gummy sour Easter candy for half price ( it was soft tangy & delicious!) A beautiful aqua teal eyeliner pencil and some Dove antiperspirant as mine was packed and I was headed to the beach one last time. The store is older and could use some updating, but it had lots of regular drugstore merch as well as beach items for fishing snorkelling Ect ! I didn't realize that Longs & CVS were associated, but I saw some signage in store, checked my email and I had a 4$ off coupon! I wasn't sure how to use it as I didn't have the app downloaded. Lisa, a beautiful friendly cashier was so helpful & patient and finding my card info so I could apply the discount! She was a gem and truly deserves to be recognized! I only wish I had longer to shop around - especially at the cosmetics section. I'm sure I would of been utilizing more coupons & discounts !!”
