“At first I couldn't find the place because everyone on Maui calls it White Cap but it also goes by HD Supply. Which is what the sign outside says. I came looking for a husqvarna demo saw. The lady at the desk was so helpful and friendly! She told me there was a deal going on right now but they were out of the husq.760 demo saw but was going to see if they could do it with the new 770 saws. She brought back a man who must have been the manager. He was so cool and said they could make it happen! So for the price of the 770 demo saw I also got a free 14" blade, bostch bull dog and a drilling dust attachment for free! That's a $240 save right there!! This place has everything you need for construction. It's like a candy store in there for my husband. Workers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend you check them out for all your construction needs!”

“So the shower valve broke at my 89 year old tutu's house to where you could not shut the water off. There was no shutoff valve in the water line going to the shower, so we had to turn off the water to the whole house to avoid wasting gallons.Went to Ferguson and as I had expected the valve was 30+ years old, not stocked on Maui and would have to be special ordered. Figured as much. So I asked what I could do to just cap off the supply lines to the shower in the meantime while waiting for the part to come in, so we could at least turn the water back on to the rest of the house.The employee at Ferguson sold me "shark bite" cap fittings and a pipe cutter, and explained in detail how to install them. Back at the house, about 10 minutes of work and I had the lines capped off and was able to turn our water back on! ?I really appreciated the patient service with aloha during a stressful situation. They treated me as a valued customer even though they mostly deal with big commercial sales and I was just a clueless DIY'er buying $25 worth of items. What a great experience. Mahalos guys, I will recommend you to anyone I know of needing plumbing supplies! ???”

“I gotta give these guys some love! Every experience I've had here has been tops. This place is a vibe, seriously. Mainly, it's the STAFF! They are fabulously friendly people, always acknowledging you as soon as you come in, ready to help you find what you need right away and not waste any time wandering around blindly searching for things. It's like each staff member has a mental inventory of where every little item in the store is located. I'm impressed! I love that they're a small, local business. Just look at the back corner of the Haiku cannery - ample parking space back there for customers. Also, I can't express enough how happy I am that there is a sign right at the entrance of the store informing everyone entering that they must be masked up. I respect businesses that take care of their customers (and themselves), not only with their usual service but also with their conscientious pandemic practices. I will definitely look to Haiku True Value Hardware first when I need anything around the house or farm. Besides, after I'm done my shopping here, I can just pop over to the Haiku Market for some poke! Any excuse, really...”

“I love the people who work at Air Gas, they are always professional and kind; super helpful. I DO wish that they would update their hours though; during the Covid-19 I think it's important for all businesses to keep up with posting their hours correctly. To assume that "we will all understand". I drove down to Kahului from Keokea because the listed hours said they were open (I called to check and the phone just rang..., they must have been busy- how wonderful for them, that's great, especially in these times!)- and then I got there and "CLOSED". WHOA! I just wasted 2 hours, - that is very much a bummer and unprofessional of them. I think it's probably pretty easy to edit the posted hours for the company, you know, just to also help the others that are living in the Covid-19 world? Just a thought. So, they are NOT open till 4 pm, M-F, AND they are not open on Saturday - the only day I can come because I am working and I am an "essential" worker. I wish businesses would be even MORE selfish about their success and help themselves by being kind, accurate, and proactive for all!”
