Honokeana Bay is a hidden gem for snorkeling enthusiasts, offering an incredible experience with abundant marine life, including numerous turtles, fish, eels, and sea cucumbers. Visitors often praise the vibrant wildlife and the unique opportunity to see turtles napping under coral. The location is not overly crowded, making it ideal for a peaceful outing. However, there are some challenges; the entry point can be unclear, and those without access from nearby apartments may need to navigate some rocks to enter the water. Parking can be tricky, with free options available on side streets, but those staying in local accommodations have an easier time. For the best experience, snorkeling in the morning is recommended due to better water visibility. While there are no public bathrooms, the scenic beauty and rich marine life make Honokeana Bay a must-visit spot for anyone looking to explore the underwater world.
My wife and I went snorkeling here while she was pregnant and we had a blast, it was beautiful and so much life under the water. The access is fairly easy.

Amazing place to snorkel for turtles. If you are getting in near the rocks it can get a bit choppy. I was capable as a small female and saw older people getting in just fine. Will be back.

Turtle city. Saw so many chill turtles. Public entrance is a bit hidden, but it’s there. Entry into water can be slippery. But it is well worth it once in
