Honokōwai Beach Park is a clean, less crowded local beach away from lots of tourists. It is relaxed, laid-back, and not too busy, offering spectacular views for sunsets. The beach has a coral reef that breaks the waves, creating a perfect wading and exploring spot for kids, with amazing fish and sea turtles. There is a nice playground and swing set, along with delightful shade trees along the sand. It features restrooms and is very peaceful and beautiful.

This beach was near our Airbnb. We walked to it and we had a great time. Natural rock barrier created a shallow area for kids to play. That have picnic tables and showers. They also have a small playground for kiddos.

Lots of rocky terrain makes it perfect for small kids to play in the water and in the sand. Its on calmer side. You can snorkel but don’t expect many fishes. Also has few trees for shadow. Overall calm and quiet beach.
