“Way better than the on-post 24-hour gym. It can get crowded some mornings due the mandatory PT unit times but the equipment is better maintained and the facility is a lot congested.”
“Not a bad place for morning PT. The gym is tucked behind the Navy barracks and isnt the easiest to find if you havent been back there. Overall the gym was nice and clean and had a nice basketball court/locker room/showers and a cardio/weight lifting area which was nice, but a little in the smaller side for a base gym, although NCTAMs isnt very large anywats. Overall, decent place to work out!”
“The gym is good, lots of free weights and CrossFit type things, pullups bars, sleds, squat racks, Olympic rings, cardio machines. The only thing I found very odd is there is only one cable machine and it's broken.”
“A little on the expensive side, but that does mean it's not as busy as a lot of gyms, still wouldn't be worth it if not for the fact it's 24hr. Considering it's a paid membership I would have liked to see more specialty equipment, like a tricep pushdown, chest supported t-bar row, more adjustable benches, tbar bendover row system, and various other high quality equipments.
This is also coming from the perspective of someone who has always used on post free gyms so its entirely possible my expectations are simply too high as my last gym did spoil me. It is still better than Martinez if simply for the fact I can actually use the equipment without waiting most of the time.
I do not utilize any of their additional services, I merely pay for access for my wife and I.”
