“First time visit to Praire Family Medicine.
I was greeted by front desk office staff with a "Hello" and a smile.
Front desk staff was very friendly checkin in and checking out.
Waiting area was very clean with at home vibe.
Nurse was very friendly also and smiled often.
I am a patient of Jessy Lorion,MD.
I was introduced to Chris Strain, FNP-BC.
He was very attentive and listened to Dr. Lorion and I while taking notes and offered encouragement and understanding which in turn made me feel very cared for and listened to.
These qualities are very important to me because I need continued aftercare from surviving colon cancer.
Follow-up care is so needed to enhance my quality of life and Dr. Lorion always makes sure my needs are taken care of.
I look forward to developing a patient care relationship with Chris Strain, FNP-BC in the future.

“I am responding to the 1 star review 2 months ago regarding a breathing treatment she did not receive. This patient was in our care for over 3 years. She was treated with kindness, excellent care including referrals, diagnostic films and same day appointments. We always made room for her even at a moments notice as this is our policy for all our established patients. On this particular day, she scheduled a breathing treatment and brought her two daughters into a very crowed lobby, who had tested positive for the flu.

She and her daughters were promptly brought back to a room and assessed.
Her lung sounds were clear. I stated as politely as I could that she did not need a breathing treatment and it would be best to avoid public areas for a while until she and her daughters were clear of the flu. This upset her greatly as I suppose she had been accustomed to getting all her requests in the past without hesitation. But I was very concerned about the elderly folks in the lobby who had fragile health conditions. I explained as graciously as I could that influenza is very contagious and can be fatal to those who have compromised health issues of whom I was trying to protect as well as meet her needs.

Unfortunately, she was unable to show compassion to others as we had shown to her for so many years. As it turned out, my front desk team missed work shortly thereafter with Influenza A.

It is important as a healthcare provider, I put all my patient's health as a priority especially the fragile members of our community and the very sick.
