​Tugg was no walk in the park—he was a 120-pound pain in the butt with his fair share of health and behavioral challenges. He started out as a sweet boy, but sadly developed some aggression issues over time. They easily could have transferred his care for the safety of themselves and the team, but they never gave up on him, and they never treated him any differently for it.

​They handled him with the utmost patience, care, and genuine compassion, always doing everything in their power to make visits as easy and stress-free as possible for both him and us.

“I cannot thank this veterinary team enough for the care they gave my older horse. He was hospitalized with a severe colic and impaction and had to stay with them for over a week. “The Pet Doctor is the best!!! They have been so good with each one of my dogs and have treated them with a lot of love and care. I have been taking my two Rottweilers to them for years now and have never had anything happen with the visits that was concerning. I recently got a third Rottweiler in December and they are treating him with just as much love and care as the other two. It has taken me a long time to find a vet who was comfortable and confident around Rottweilers. Some would immediately put a muzzle on them at the beginning of the appointment, which was not helpful. All three of my dogs absolutely LOVE going to the vet and there's no anxiety, aggression or fear from them. Going to the vet is a treat! I know this is because of how all the staff at The Pet Doctor treat my dogs each and every time. This makes me as the owner feel very relieved and grateful. Would totally recommend Dr. Zahller and her whole staff to anyone who's looking for a new vet with a knowledgeable & personal touch!”

What has meant the most to me is that I have my own medical challenges that make certain treatments and options difficult, and rather than making me feel judged or dismissed, Dr. Mike has always been willing to work with me to find alternatives that are realistic for our situation. That kind of patience and compassion is rare and it does not go unnoticed. We are so grateful to have found a vet who treats both the pet and the person with such care. “Been going here for 13 years. My problem is not with the doctor but with one of the front office staff. She is rude and acts as if she runs the office. My dog was up all night with itching and discomfort and I called the doctor to see what they could help me out. She said to come in and they would try anal gland therapyI and that maybe he could have had a seizure so I brought him in and they did his anal glands and said he was done. I was assuming I would talk to Dr Mills about the itching and pacing all night but she said she didn’t schedule anything with Dr Mills and sent me home. Needless to say I was up all night with him itching and stressing. This is not the first time she has denied an appointment. I’m thinking of changing vets but would like to speak with Dr Mills first”

Vet care can add up, in my experience elsewhere doesn't come close to the care my kids get. Pets First is affordable, and your pets are the priority! I love the entire staff of happy people who care, about you and your pets! Everyone is welcoming, treats you with respect, and gives you their time to go over any questions you may have.

They just gave me some insulin and said have a nice day and she was near death I took her to All Valley Animal Hospital and after a 48-hour stay they brought her back wonderful people very informative I would suggest them to anyone who has serious critical care or just for veterinary check-ups I might live a long ways away but that's where I'm going from now on”

“We took our dog Max to see Dr. German about a week and a half after he'd had a run in with a tractor - he hit his head on the bucket and it knocked him for a loop (he didn't get run over or anything). He was still a bit subdued and just not up to his usual energy so we got in a last minute appointment with Dr. German. She ran an instrument up and down his spine to get him back in alignment, and that did the trick! Later that night he was acting so much better and the next morning, he was back to his old self! It's so hard to watch your beloved pet in pain, thank you so much to the staff and Dr. German at Animal Health Hospital!”

“Our dog needed surgery to remove her leg and the humane society has been very easy to work with and understanding. They have the best prices and caring staff. The surgery is scheduled in a couple days and I'm confident they will do a great job.”

“I finally was able to speak to Memorial regarding my boy's cremation. It turns out there was a miscommunication on exactly what was causing the holdup with his return to me.

To be clear, it wasn't the amount of time it took that was my concern. They can take as much time as they need to make sure my pet's final forever with me is perfect and correct.

It was partly my fault because I wasn't willing to leave a message due to feeling like I would have been screened and left unanswered. After finally speaking to Ms. Angie, I do believe they would have taken my concerns seriously and gotten back to me.

I'm very glad that it is definitely my sweet little man's (rat) prints and ashes. They don't mess around here. They get you taken care of with empathy, even if it takes longer than expected, which I am very glad for. And also so glad they were able to answer my questions and quell my concerns!”

“Took my GSD here to be spayed and they took great care of my girl. She's got some anxiety issues, which they recognized and adjusted to immediately. Prices were much more reasonable than what my own vet was going to charge.
The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because the drop off process is a little cumbersome.
First, you stand in line to get your intake form and are given a number. Once all intake forms are handed out, you wait in your car until you see your number in the window and then you take your pet in.
I actually appreciate that part bc most pets are already nervous enough, BUT, it was raining while we were waiting for our intake forms/numbers so that wasn't fun and, if the parking lot is full (which it was) and you're parked further away, you won't necessarily see the numbers in the window. I had to move my car a couple times before I was able to see and noticed several others had to do the same thing.
Again, they did a great job and the process overall is fine, just a little soggy for us, and I would recommend & use them again.”

“Our dog needed their arm amputated. She was in so much pain. IHS was able to see her, we got an appointment with the surgeon, he recommended surgery and it was successful. Our dog is no longer in pain and is back to enjoying life. Even with one leg less.”
