“What can I say but Paul Swartz is the best! We have purchased and they have planted 43 trees and 2 boxwoods over the past few years, with 12 more trees coming this year. We have also purchased several perennial plants, wood chips and garden soil. Every tree/plant we have purchased are all thriving. Their stock is healthy and of high quality. Scott and Sam are knowledgeable and very accommodating (even let me go in the field and pick my own trees!) The planting crews have also been awesome. They made sure trees were planted, watered and wood chipped properly. Everyone at Paul Swartz is pleasant and helpful!”

“After years of seeing the Mulch Center's advertisements, my wife and I decided to give them a visit. We had substantial work that needed to be done requiring about 40 yd³ of mulch. We went to the Volo location and were somewhat overwhelmed by the many different types of mulch that were available. Then we met Jim, one of the operations managers, who was thorough, competent, friendly and very helpful. After explaining the various types of mulch, what they were good for, and the cost, we were pretty sure that we wanted to deal with the Mulch Center. One important factor remained, good labor to get this major project done. Without much expectation of success, we asked Jim if he had anyone who might be knowledgeable and assist us in determining what we actually needed and how to get it done. Jim then recommended Guy Seno, a long time expert in the landscaping business. Guy is absolutely exceptional. His knowledge, communication skills, organization, efficiency, and friendliness are off the charts. Guy truly practiced the Golden Rule in how he dealt with us. We could not have asked for better treatment and performance. We would be happy to work with the Mulch Center again and would enthusiastically retain Guy to assist us.”

And when that happens it's nice to know that there are people like them that are on the customer service team to help you while you're having your meltdown. It took 3 months and 3 orders and one price change but it finally came in undamaged, and the price change honored. What can i say other than this is why i am a dedicated home depot shopper.”

“I had been in this store far too many times. The store was average for a big box hardware store. The customer service was the same. Well I went in a few weeks ago and walked up and down the aisles for over ten minutes seeking assistance and with no success. I did let them know at CS as I was leaving to go to Menards across the street. Well this past weekend I went back in to get more items and had such a hard time getting help AGAIN. I finally asked for a manager and I met Venus. Well this woman changed my whole outlook on personal customer care! After I explained what I needed and my previous experience she rolled up her sleeves and jumped right in to help me. She even helped me cut material for me!!!! It was Venus, Sam and Miguel who had me appreciating the customer service at this Fox Lake home depot! They over staff during the day to assist the contractors who come in, which are professionals and don't need the kind of assistance as the DIY people that come in after working hours and weekends. Home Depot maybe you can fix that. Please note the 5 star is for the amazing customer service I received from these three individuals !! I am yelling a thousand thank you' s to Venus, Sam and Miguel!!!”

“Recently purchase two Maple Sugar Green Mountain’s and one Birch Dura-Heat Clump and a new lawn ornament from Horvat’s. The trees are beautiful and were priced well for end of season.
