“Ace is the place and this particular store is one of my go to spots for hardware and keys. I also bought my last Toro mower here. The only downside is when I had the mower serviced, there was not very good communication about how things were going. This might have been due to the place they send the mowers out to, but the manager recently told me she would personally get back to me and didn’t.”

“My husband is NOT a hardware store kind of guy. He loves going to Geneva Ace Hardware because as soon as you walk in the store someone approaches you to ask how they can help you. They are respectful and use simple, non-threatening 'hardware language' when explaining options. They usually are able to answer your questions, and if they are stumped they use other team members as a resource. I have had many positive experiences with the employees who have assisted me in the paint department. Also, if I need something slightly out of the ordinary I have been able to source it at Geneva Ace. Great store, great people.”

“I had such an exceptional experience at this Home Depot location that I felt compelled to share it.
After visiting multiple stores trying to find a plant that matched the aesthetic I needed for my office, I kept running into limitations and was honestly feeling discouraged. When I arrived at this location, I was greeted by Aidan, who immediately stood out for his kindness and willingness to help. He took the time to really listen to what I was trying to accomplish and genuinely cared about finding a solution.
Shortly after, the manager, Shi, stepped in — and together, they went above and beyond to make something work for me. What impressed me the most was not just that they helped, but how they helped: with positivity, creativity, and a true customer-first attitude that I hadn’t experienced at other locations.
Aidan personally assisted me every step of the way, and both him and Shi made me feel like my request truly mattered. Even when I had to come back with a small issue afterward, Shi handled it with the same level of professionalism and kindness, immediately resolving it without hesitation.
It’s rare to come across people who genuinely care about customer experience the way they do. Their attitude, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression on me.

“Our local Home Depot stores are great. Their inventory is well maintained and they have a good selection of stuff to help you complete your projects. The staff is always friendly, courteous and helpful. And, in the event you need to return something, their policy and process is simple and easy.”
“First time trying out their dog wash today.I'm very Happy I did! it's very clean, the staff was super nice and accommodating. I like that they have raised wash areas and grooming areas to dry the dogs, good water pressure, hoses that you can change the stream and decent dryers. They supply some of the different shampoos that they carry I did try their sensitive one and so far it seems to have caused no irritation for a very sensitive skin dog. I like that they supply more than one towel like some other places do.
Tractor supply company is a little gym in Carpentersville that I often forget about and every time I go I really like it. They hire friendly staff and it's always clean and they have a lot of variety.”

“I was surprised at how nice the furniture selection was! Not many small items for home dec, but lots of other things - tools, drawer pulls, glassware, area rugs, patio sets, lighting, sinks, bathtubs. Some of the pieces were over priced IMO (old dressers for $150 that I wouldn't pay more than $30-50), but it's all for a good cause. Great place for project pieces and DIY renovations. Very nice staff. Plenty of parking. Will definitely be back regularly just to browse and see what's new!”
“Kurt was excellent st explaining the carpet, pads, delivery time. Measurer came out. We went back to the store to order. The design team gave us out lay out options for the room to minimize carpet waste.
It was a very great buying experience. The installation team of Audi and Tony from Superior was in fact superior. Will be using Hone Depot again for our flooring needs.”

“It is always better late than never. I have to tell Google about my customer experience two weeks ago with Caleb, Caleb's Customer service skills are second to none!!! He needs to teach a customer service class. He is phenomenal. I spoke with him on the phone. I was indecisive, I wasn't sure on what to get. He was very courteous. He was extremely patient, very knowledgeable on a scale. From 1 to 10, Caleb gets a 20. when I came into the store, He heard what I was looking for recognized That he had assisted me Caleb stopped What he was doing to come over to assist. this is one SATISFIED customer. Lumber, millwork, etc still has some quality issues, and they still pile all the picked-through trash back onto the stack instead of RTVing it.
But they keep the stores clean, the staff seems happy to be at work, and their prices are usually the best of the three.”
