Many people expect discount stores to be a bit cluttered or chaotic, but this Dollar Tree completely defied that stereotype. The floors were spotless, the aisles were tidy, and every shelf looked thoughtfully arranged, making it incredibly easy to find exactly what I needed without feeling overwhelmed.

What stood out most was how neatly the products were grouped by category. Seasonal items were displayed in an attractive, easy-to-browse layout, while everyday essentials like cleaning supplies, snacks, and personal care items were clearly labeled and fully stocked. It made the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable, almost more like a boutique discount store than a typical dollar shop.

The checkout area was also clean and efficiently managed. Even when a small line formed, the staff moved things along quickly, all while keeping their stations organized and free of clutter. That level of attention to detail really added to the overall positive atmosphere of the store.

The person at the register was friendly and fast, I paid and also got a bit of help getting the mirror on my vehicle.

The store was clean, there is plenty of free parking right in front.

“Since I happened to be in the Forest Park area, I visited this Dollar Tree solely to purchase Jimmy Dean's Cheddar Cheese Omelets which I have grown to love for breakfast in the morning. Along with the omelets, I figured why not purchase other things like water, shelf stable milk, toilet paper, body spray, body soap, white bread, peanut butter, and snacks while visiting. The atmosphere at this location feels so calm in comparison to other locations I visited. The one thing that makes me feel uneasy are the panhandlers that are typically out during the late evening hours. And I must say that with there being a lack of lighting available outside contributes to that uneasy feeling as well. Dollar Tree is becoming more like Dollar General with what products are being shelved. During this visit, I could not help but admire a $5 pair of Super Soft Leggings which are the perfect lounge around wear. I swear, I will have to stay clear of that aisle in the future because I nearly left with a camouflage pair of leggings. I have been buying large bottles of water from Dollar Tree for some time now. Dollar Tree has my preferred brands in stock like Alkaline, Aquafina, Dasani, Eternal, Life WTR, and now Body Armor Sport Water which keep me purchasing consistently. Their sizes alone are perfect for the pace I choose to drink water, so Dollar Tree is my go-to choice for purchasing. Shelf stable milk continues to be an item that keeps me visiting Dollar Tree locations for. Its lifespan, price, and carton size works for me in comparison to buying out of supermarket stores. I make it my sole priority to purchase toilet paper every time I visit Dollar Tree, since it is one of my most used essentials next to body soap. Even though I would have preferred tissue by Scott Comfort Plus, I had to settle for Strong and Soft since Scott Comfort Plus was not available. "Hint, hint ", Scott Comfort Plus is the better tissue brand in my opinion. This location does have a parking lot of its own, a small lot which can feel congested at times when there are a number of visitors. If you are like me and want to avoid the uneasy feeling of a congested parking lot, there is street parking in the immediate area. Whether it be for the purchase of breakfast foods, bottled water, shelf stable milk, toilet paper, or even hygiene products, Dollar Tree continues to be my go-to for those items. I was in this evening around 6:48 pm. The cashier ( no name tag) wearing white jogging pants and a black top should be taught to not be holding a customer's money and texting... I wanted to scream from how unprofessional it was just standing there staring at her for what seemed like FOREVER to please put her phone down and finish my transaction. As soon as I walk up she's just texting completely ignoring me and my entire interaction was awkward. I look forward in seeing the manager whenever I walk in as she is incredibly helpful and pleasant and I could've right there and then called for her however she was busy putting the price tags on throughout the entire store trusting this young lady and this cashier should be written up. Next time if it happens again I will be certain to say something. If it were my job, I'd be out of a job, period. I did not appreciate spending $43.00 to give her $45.00 and wait forever to get my change that probably was about 3 minutes total just staring at her and she gave no care because obviously it's welcomed. I have seen the manager at this location train and she is stern, hard pressed while being gentle and extremely patient so I know it is not happening in her presence. We all have things going on at home, etc but that's what a break is for!!

In my customer service career as a young cashier I had to learn the hard way by receiving a write up, having my phone confiscated by management until the end of my shift or being sent home without pay.

I do understand that this generation is pretty much... RELAXED to a certain degree but it is common sense, " the customer service is the first contact, is responsible for creating that warm and inviting impression to keep customers coming back vs to their competitors, are responsible for adhering to their employment hand book guidelines of what is acceptable and isn't and the customers wanting to come back purchasing inventory is what creates profit and raises"

Please, get it together. Give your Manager and the old lady a raise as they have been the consistent employees in that store since I moved to Wood Dale years ago. Stop hiring anyone and if you do ensure they have common knowledge of what is expected or train them properly so that these young folks understand.”

“There's a lot of stuff to buy at good price. Halloween decorations, Christmas decorations. Gift bags, birthday cards, plates, glasses, mugs. Trash bags, ziploc bags, home cleaners, air fresheners. Dog and cat food, and more.”

“Update: Thursdays are now $1.00. It is a great place to shop for bargains. I love coming here and looking for stocking stuffers and small gifts. I have gotten press on nails, makeup, party plates (bundles), clothing, car accessories, toys, pet toys/treats, food items... and more... they even have a refrigerator section with cheeses and other great items. I love the people who work here, they are kind and helpful. If you're looking for something specific they will take down your phone number and let you know when they have some.”
