“Beautiful park with space for all. In addition the First Division museum is located on site as well and if you go to one, make sure you see them both. Lots of history and just a great way to spend the afternoon anytime of year. Plenty of parking and restrooms.”

“Absolutely the best bowling alley I’ve been to. I reserved a lane worried that we may have to wait after driving 2 hours for a date. I walked in and the very sweet and kind manager had my lane already setup complete with my name in big letters on the table. A totally unexpected surprise. We bowled and got some drinks, then as our 1.5 hours of bowling came to a close the manager came and gave us arcade cards (honestly not sure if they were included or she was just feeling generous). And then she gave me a thank you card.My date and I were both saying this experience has absolutely ruined other bowling alleys for us. So impressed by the friendly staff and fun environment they create. I’ve never felt so valued as a customer in a bowling alley and hope to make my way back here eventually to experience it again.”

“I took my mother and sister-in-law to paint on wine glasses as an early Mother's Day gift. They loved it and I enjoyed it very much as well! I thought they were going to have selected designs for us to choose from but surprisingly the teacher told us to pick anything even off of the internet and she helped us individually with each design we picked. They also had pictures of some designs you could use as inspiration. The space felt a bit too small and crowded especially if you decide to bring food, you probably want to eat everything in the first 30 minutes before you start painting, because there won't be any extra space on your table space. Other than that the teacher was wonderful and it was overall an enjoyable time.Edited to add: a little sad, I found a paint stain on my coat couple days later. I had hung the coat on the wall but it was very full and in the passage, so maybe someone brushed against it when walking by. I messaged B&B on Facebook asking for advice on how to remove it and got no response.”

“I just had my bridal shower at Magolias over the weekend. I would give it even more stars if possible. Kim and her colleague have been wonderful from the very start. During my shower, we had a hiccup with our catering, and Kim did everything possible to make up for it. EVEN THOUGH, the catering was NOT Magolias responsibility. The venue overall is a beautiful intimate venue and I will most certainly be returning there for any of my future events. If anyone is looking for a great place for their special day, I wouldn’t recommend a better place. Thank you Magnolia for making my bridal shower magical!”

“Nice food selection. Some of the hot food was cold but I blame that on inconsiderate customers who don't close the warming trays after retrieving their portions. The serving staff was very attentive and prompt with serving us.”

“I cannot speak highly enough of the value of this museum. It is extremely inexpensive for the amount you receive. We got there at 1:00 and only walked through half by 2:30 and it closed at 3:00.We could have taken much longer but we started to realize that it was getting close. There is so much good information You literally have to stay at each section for 15 minutes or so to just really grasp the greatness of the sacrifice of these people.I can't wait to go see this again.Any pictures that anyone takes is only a minuscule version of what it's actually like to be in that space. It is completely immersive with war sounds in the background and tanks in front of you and pictures and maps and artifacts.I have two public folders on my Facebook account (RoseAnn Melcarek) that are for Cantigny if you want to see more pictures.”

“Absolutely incredible experience. Hosted my son’s 10th bday here with his friends. The hosts couldn’t have been easier to work with and it is by far the CLEANEST kids place (arcade/laser tag/ etc) place we’ve ever been to. The rates were fair and the kids had a blast. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”

“If you need to get out the house and work elsewhere this is the place to go!! Their drinks are strong and tasty and they have seasonal drinks as well! What I was surprised about was that they also have a cocktail menu, because it's 5'o'clock somewhere right?! My son really liked their frozen hot chocolate and wants to go back for more! It's just a nice industrial space that anyone would like to hang out at!!”

“We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Carlisle in November of 2023. As most people, we looked at multiple venues to select the best one for our special day. After visiting several locations, we went to The Carlisle and from the moment we entered we knew this was the one. The Carlisle is very elegant with a lot of mirrors and crystal chandeliers and after meeting with the event planner we were sold. Laura Papa was welcoming, professional and explained everything clearly. She answered all our questions with great detail and made suggestions, but never tried to upsell us. We had found the perfect place for our wedding! Every time we met with Laura, we became more sure that the Carlisle was superior to all other venues. My husband to be, wanted the evening to be magical for me and magical it was! Laura and the staff at the Carlisle were phenomenal. They listened to what we wanted and delivered beyond our expectations. We highly recommend The Carlisle to anyone looking for an elegant, well-run establishment to host any event. There are many venues to choose from in the Chicagoland area ,but if you are looking for a perfect experience, The Carlisle is the best choice hands down.”

“This goes out to all my brides/engaged couples, if you are looking at Bartlett Hills for your wedding, DO IT! We just got married 10/28/23 and it was flawless. The fact that they handled so much such as the cake, bar, catering, flowers, table, decorations, and even more made it so worth it. Evan answered every single one of our questions and helped me with visuals of past wedding held there. Him and the staff set up the tables and set out the decorations we wanted exactly how we asked. He took so much off our plate and handled all of our vendors day of. The meal was amazing and everything we wanted it to be! The bartenders and servers were also absolutely amazing!”

“Desiree was absolutely amazing from the beginning all the way to the end to help make our wedding Absolutely perfect! If it wasn’t for her, I don’t know where we would have been, but I am glad we had her there to help us. I highly recommend The Seville for anyone who is looking to have a fun and fantastic wedding at a reasonable price. A lot of people loved the food as well. The drinks and the bartenders along with your personal assistant throughout the wedding makes everything go by so smooth. I highly recommend you ask for Desiree when you first want to look into the venue because she will set you up from beginning to end, and will be there for you anytime you need her.”

“This is an amazing post with even more amazing people. My family needed assistance and this post and everyone, literally everyone showed up. As a veteran, a single mother, and a person of color, I have never felt love like this from ANY Veteran Organization, and I want to thank all of the members and guests that supported myself and my family during our hardship. We walked in with hope and walked out with a new family. If you are a Veteran that needs help, please come to this post, literally anyone who is there will point you in the right direction. Thank you again Post 2164 and thank you for accepting my family into your family. You all deserve all the goodness this world has to offer. I pray your Post continues to grow and prosper.”

“We were in the area and remembered that Two Chefs was down the street. We have emotional ties to this restaurant because they catered our wedding in 2011 and we were very impressed with their food. The waitress greeted us at the door and was very professional, polite, and well dressed. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie, it was very flavorful. The chicken was very tender and the crust was flaky like you would expect. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli it was so delicious and brought back memories. We will be back for sure when we are in the area again. If your in the area, I recommend giving this place a try!”

“I came to Chrissy's for a bag tournament. It is a small bar/restaurant. The bar and restaurant are divided with a large open doorway.I ordered the pretzels with cheese and the Italian beef egg rolls. The food was standard, fine.I didn't order any drinks. There is limited handicap parking, but there is lot parking in front of Chrissy's and around the corner of the mall. There are only two single restrooms for males and females.I might go back for dinner someday and try an entree or two.Kid-friendliness: Not really a great place to keep kids entertained. Large screen tv's are readily visible in all areas, but most play sports or news.Wheelchair accessibility: Doors must be manually opened.Restrooms are large enough for a wheelchair.”

“This is so much fun for younger ones who love to climb. Your child would have to be able to get by without your direct assistance for most of the attractions. Only open weekday mornings till 2 .”

“This place has been one of my favorite places to take little kids since my daughter was little and she’s nine now. I have a one four and nine-year-old and they all absolutely love this place. The indoor climbing is large enough for adults to climb through and have fun too. 2 adults get in free with a child purchase. They have a right on section that is super fun for those proactive kids and a ballroom area where you could shoot balls at each other. If that threatens you for your little one, don’t be scared there is also age grouped off sections for the little ones. Don’t forget to sign up for their rewards. You can get great deals. Food is reasonable and yummy.”

“I rented an office here from April 23-Dec 23. The staff here is fantastic. They are very friendly and will do everything possible to make your stay hospitable and warm. No internet issues, coffee is always great and the other tenants are also pretty amazing. I will wholeheartedly recommend this place and Andres, the community manager is rockstar.”

“Overall was a good experience. The hostess found us a nice table in the corner as one of our guests was hard of hearing. Michael was our server and though he was nice when he stopped by, he was not as attentive as I would have hoped. He was notably busy. He did not get a refill on my wine though I asked him twice for it.”

“A really fun local art museum. Easy parking. Quality displays. And it was a make and take day! So fun!! When we bought our tickets we were fully informed about the current artists and themes! All staff were helpful and knowledgeable! I love that they support local artists and have some of their art for sale! After the art museum we grabbed a bite to eat in downtown Elmhurst. Fun date day trip!!”

“The ribs were delicious! My fish and chips were eh. My husband liked their buffalo grilled chicken.Kid-friendliness: It wasn't really kid friendly. The high chairs are tiny. My just now 2 year old, who is pretty small, could barely fit in it.”

“* I went to the Winery. I did not stay in the B&B.This Winery was so nice. Asthetically beautiful. Bar or lounge seating so you can pick the scene you prefer. They had sweet wine, too, which some places don't even offer. Me and my friends also tried a chocolate truffle which was yummy. I tasted them all and they were very good. It is very tempting to start a membership. However, when it was time for me to go, I still had 3 out of 6 tastings I paid for that I asked to redeem at a later date. I didn't want to have too much to drink given that I had a 40-minute drive, and I had to get going, which I let the woman at the front desk know. She said I could not redeem my tasting at a later date. I asked if I could have some refund, would have taken half or less than half, but I was told they don't do that either. It's a pretty small place, so I was surprised they didn't accommodate what I thought was a small and fair request. They haven't lost any money or wine, but I have. If you can't drink 9oz of wine like myself without getting sleepy or tipsy, I recommend bringing a friend and splitting the tasting. Other than that, my experience was nice, but left me with that sour taste.”

“Cantigny is a beautiful and expansive park in Wheaton, which includes a very nice golf course, with a pro shop and a clubhouse restaurant called the Red Oak Room. The only time I have visited this establishment was for my niece's wedding reception two years ago. The private banquet/event space and the grounds around it are stunning. But the food and service was even better. I think it was the best wedding reception I've ever been to. With around 150 people, the space was laid out with room to spare so it felt luxurious and not at all cramped. There was a bar with excellent bartenders, room for the dance floor to remain empty so no tables had to be removed after dinner. And the food! Guests had a choice from 3 entrees - filet mignon, salmon and chicken. Not easy to offer 3 different meals and get them all done perfectly. Both a soup course and salad were served (after the cocktail hour which had a variety of tray-passed hors d'oeuvres). The filet was at least 7 ozs of pure perfection with accompanying potato and veg. Champagne was poured for a toast and a choice of red or white wine was served throughout dinner. A wonderful dessert buffet was served in addition to the wedding cake. The service was also perfection capped off with coffee service with really delicious coffee. The wait staff was very pleasant and professional and made sure the dining experience was stellar for each and every guest. A great DJ had the crowd dancing for hours and later in the night, more food - Chicago pizza and Italian beef sandwiches with all the fixings for anyone who wasn't still stuffed from dinner and served with to go boxes to take some with you if you were still too full. It was a very nice venue with wonderful food and service - it was perfect in every way!”

“Dropped my babysitting kids there and they worked on such cool projects. I wish they catered it more to the childs' interest though. For example, they love football and marvel. Maybe find a way to come up with projects involving those? Just to maintain their interests better. But in terms of learning, it's top notch!”

“I have to say thank you to the restaurant employee, Angelo, who went out of his way to return a lost wallet. The wallet was lost in uptown Elmhurst and we searched all the areas where it might have been lost. Later in the evening a man showed up at our door with the wallet. He said a person found it and brought it into the restaurant. He was so thoughtful to bring it to us and was not expecting anything in return. This local family owned restaurant serves delicious food and has exceptional customer service! I highly recommend and I plan to keep it on my favorites list!”

“We had our wedding ceremony and reception here. It was incredible. The grounds and architecture are beautiful. The event hall has beautiful stained glass windows. The mansion was elegant. Our guests said it was the a classy and relaxing environment and that’s exactly why we chose it. This place has so many ornate details in the ceilings, flooring, staircase, woodwork, and windows. Tours were also offered to our guests making it a unique and fun wedding experience. What I loved most about this place was the event coordinator, Sherry. She put so much of her attention, time, and heart into our event. She was professional, responsive, caring, and helpful. She knows everything it takes to make an event goes smooth. She worked with every vendor to ensure the our evening went well. The Peabody Mansion will always be a special place in our heart. Not only was it beautiful venue but it was Sherry who made the night absolutely seamless and perfect. We are forever grateful to have worked with someone who cared about our wedding as much as we did.”
